This cabin was much larger than expected. It was clean and comfortable with two big bedrooms and two full (big!) bathrooms.
Easy access to Winchester and cute cows!
We really loved the property. Enjoyed the sunsets over the mountains, the livestock, and most of all we really enjoyed the cabin. It was super cozy. It is also a fantastic location close to town and the interstate.

some good...some not so good
The outdoor atmosphere was great. We enjoyed feeding Animal Crackers to the 3 goats closest to the house . Mr. Carter's story was interesting. Night skies were beautiful. The downstairs shower was great. Inside was in need of cleaning in many areas... lots of dust, dead flies on window sills, and each night live flies and silverfish appeared. Many cooking utensils/dishes/glasses/mugs were not cleaned prior to storing. This could be a result of the dishwasher as handwashing was required after completing the wash cycle. There were no cleaning supplies available to clean the kitchen sink, which was pretty nasty. The mixer was not functional and other utensils need to be replaced. We had no TV/internet availability for the last several days. We brought in our own vacuum cleaner as needed.
It is hard to find a good pet-friendly rental, but this was definitely one of them. It was pretty clean and in decent condition. It's a log cabin and not the most sealed so we did find a lot of stink bugs but those were easy to deal with. The hosts were incredibly responsive and very helpful. If we come back, we would definitely try to stay at this rental again.
This house is a unique log home in a country setting. It had everything we needed to entertain our family. There are friendly cows and peacocks who love being fed. Beautiful views from the porches for having our morning coffee. We would stay here again.
Upon arrival there were 10-12 bags of garbage sitting outside which critters had gotten into, then we realized there was no hot water. The host and VRBO did nothing to fix it or make it right. It's a shame. This house has so much potential. On our 2nd day the downstairs bathroom began to smell like raw sewage.
Very clean, comfortable house that is close to many interesting places but also far enough away from the city that it is a very peaceful space.Watching the sheep, cows, goats and peacocks was very enjoyable. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and understanding when we arrived late and caused some confusion.

Cozy with Amazing Views
A wonderful cabin with great views of the farm. We loved seeing the cows and goats and the occasional visit from the peacock. The hosts are
Amazing.
Nice setting. Got there in 100 degree weather, the maintenance people were just turning on the AC. House stayed at 82 degrees. Dishwasher had mold and was absolutely disgusting. Grass was not mowed. Had to get my 85 year old mother into the house.
I would rather stay at Bates Inn, if you get my meaning the movie!
I will not stay or recommend Vrbo, Select Gold Key and Herd's Inn ever!I did Not receive a key code for the lockbox for the door key! I did Not have a computer with me and my cell phone would only receive emails, text messages or phone calls. I tried to contact Select Gold Key and Herd’s Inn for the lock box key and received NO return comments. I have contacted Sunny/Ehsan at Herd’s Inn before by text but this time I received no answer. Luckly for me the last person that departed from the cabin left the back door ajar and I was able to get in through the open door. I texted Sunny/Ehsan at Herd’s Inn and told him I could only receive text or emails, no computer and No apps available. We both texted before, why couldn’t we do it again. I received the lock box code once I returned home. Once I arrived, I noticed mud tracked across both the back and front pouches. Once I entered the cabin it was clear there was mun in the cabin, the counters were sticky as someone cleaned them but did not rinse them clean. I found tracks on the carpet, broken furniture and damage to the wall by the back door, including damage to the wood floors. The first-floor toilet would NOT flush. I tried to email Select Gold Key for help, I received NO answer. I also tried to contact Herd’s Inn Sunny’s cell phone for help. No one contacted me for assistance. Sunny/Ehsan at Herd’s Inn refused to text or call me. Again, once I got home, I saw a message from Sunny/Ehsan “there is another toilet upstairs
