I stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridal party and the night of my wedding with my husband. Everything was perfect! I only wish that we'd had more time to enjoy the view from the balcony.
We stayed for a few days to kayak and tube, we had fun! The house was cozy, and clean! The beds were so nice, and we had a great time in the hot tub, and using the fire pit!
Beautiful property. The river view porch was the highlight for our family. Getting to enjoy our morning coffee watching the deer cross the river and then the evenings relaxing and seeing the turtles, fish and birds over the river so relaxing. Owner was really responsive and great clean place. Kids loved chasing fireflies in the yard!! Can't wait to stay here again!
This property is beautiful! Our family enjoys kayaking and On the Bend is a great place for those who like to recreate on a great river.
The flooding was pretty bad in July but the river level dropped below flood stage and the warnings and restrictions were liftedon.Tuesday. We waited two more daus and got for a few hours on Thursday, the 25th.
While we waited we enjoyed the lovely view from.the deck, the hot tub, grilling in the evening, a trip to Melody Drive-In, Indiana Beach, and a trip to South Bend to visit the Studebaker National Museum. It was all lovely!
We were looking for a place that would let 2 moms completely relax for a few days - This home was great! The owners were great communicators and we enjoyed learning more about the community and the history of the home! Thank you for helping our getaway be a success!

Beautiful property for a quiet getaway
We loved your property. It is a nice, clean house on a beautiful property. It also has a good amount of privacy. The view of the river is amazing. The fire pit was a little small for the size logs that were available but we were able to make it work. Thanks for letting us stay!
On the Bend was a great place to stay. The Bedwell’s were accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Lots to do at the house - games, hot tub, fire pit, etc. There’s also fun stuff to do in Winamac - make sure to try One Eyed Jack’s for dinner and drinks, check out the boutique for resale items, the Opera House floral shop, and the park.
We had a great time On the Bend celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday. We had 6 adults total, and the property was perfect for our group with plenty of room to give everyone space and lots of activities to enjoy. We fished, swam, floated, gamed, and more! Rob was very helpful and had everything ready for us to have a great stay. We’re definitely interested in a return visit.
We had such a wonderful time staying at this location! It was close enough to the local town we could grab a bite to eat or something we might have forgotten but we found we stayed on location for a bulk of our time because it was so relaxing and beautiful! We encountered a barred owl, white tail deer (buck & a doe), many fish, and a bald eagle flew right over us about 20 ft above while we were floating on the river. Plus, the home was clean and comfy! Highly recommend this location!!
What a beautiful home on the Tippecanoe River. Wish we could have enjoyed it more as we were there for a family reunion at the State Park. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Rob was a fantastic host and got right back to us with any and all questions and even checked in. We will stay there again!
Thank you for a very comfortable weekend.
The house was beautiful and I thought was very nice we got checked on. The city police were very helpful with locking keys in vehicle. The Mexican restaurant close by was horrible service I would recommend people stay clear.

Peaceful retreat
My wife and I, my son and his wife, and our granddaughter recently stayed at this lovely home "on the bend". No problems were encountered. The spot on the river is quite nice. The large deck areas provided exactly the peaceful retreat and awesome river view we were looking for. The property was as described. There is no real access to the river, if that's what you're looking for, but enjoying the beauty with peace and quiet was great. Would return.

Peaceful Paradise
We stayed at On The Bend during a visit to Indiana in May for my daughters wedding. Really nice house, amenities, with great views. Sitting on the deck(s) with the peaceful flow of the river and the birds singing was so tranquil. The home is very clean and beautiful. I really loved the deck areas and view. Bedrooms were very quiet. There is a really nice fire pit area but we didn't have the chance to use it. Kids enjoyed the hot tub! I wish we had more time to relax and enjoy but did get some great pictures with the bride outside since it was early spring. Hope to return to do some tubing/kayaking.

great stay
This house is equipped for a fun weekend,, you'd never have to leave the house if you didn't want to. There is plenty to do right here. The water was a little too high for fishing which was kind of disappointing but not the fault of anyone. It is close to many other things to do in the area, beaches, amusement parks, antique shops, state parks, shopping, entertainment and so on. Or if you choose to stay at the house there are games, books, movies, a fire pit, hot tub, a game room and fishing. We had small children with us and the rooms were quiet enough that upstairs,, we could not hear what was going on downstairs. And 2 bathrooms and laundry room was a great plus. We would recommend this as a great spot to stay if you are ever in the area.

Great Weekend with Friends!
We had a pretty big group over the weekend and did not feel cramped in anyway. Outside or inside we always had plenty of room for everyone. The view from the river was awesome and we saw a few otters swimming by every once in awhile. Rob provided us with more than enough firewood which was nice during the night since it was pretty cold in March. The house is very secluded for being near a good sized river outside of a town. Winamac had everything grocery wise that we needed for the trip. If you are looking to rent out a nice and affordable house I highly recommend this one, I can't say anything bad about the property at all.
We really enjoyed ourselves on our weekend trip and we will definitely be back during the summer.
Thanks for everything Rob!

Lovely, comfy, secluded getaway landing spot!
Our daughter attends Culver Academy, but we'd never ventured further south of Culver. Who knows why. But, heading to Winimac turned out to be a very pleasant surprise--cute little town, not that long a drive from Culver, and staying at this lovely house. Spacious and welcoming, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint was far beyond our hosts control--the weather was terrible, rainy and cold all weekend long. The reason I bring this up is that the house seems to have been created with spending time outside in mind: a wrap-around deck on the first floor, a deck off the second-floor master bedroom, a sweet little firepit area, all literally situated a stone's throw from the river. Hopefully, on our return visit a few weeks from now nature will treat us more gently.
We had 5 people for a weekend. Check in was easy and owner called to check on us within first few hours. River was beautiful.
The main rooms are much smaller than they appear, but living room is cozy. Very pretty area rug, but huge tripping hazard, we ended up having to roll it up and move it as it has nothing to help it grip the hardwood. Kitchen is tiny but well stocked with dishware, although a few of the cabinets will move on the wall very easily which was worrisome. All upstairs doors were hard to open and close, bathroom door was the hardest, if you lifted up on the handle as hard as you could, it would still scrape harshly against the floor, the noise woke up the whole house. Metal bar on staircase fell out, easily put back and when I checked, none of them are properly secured.
Stairs and dock by water are scary to try and step on, very unstable, and gate leading to it can't be closed fully and is bent almost in half, would need to keep close eye on kids in the yard so they don't go past the gate alone.
Had a nice time and is such a cute place, but needs some upkeep.
Loved the property. Everything was perfect for a getaway. Equipped with a separate climate control game room so some can stay up late and laugh while others go to bed. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy beautiful sunsets on the river. Great location on the river saw tons of carp, blue gill, and small mouth. Caught my PB small mouth from right off the bank.
This is a beautiful, modernized home with comfy beds and a well-stocked kitchen. Honestly, it had the best kitchen pans/utensils of any place i've stayed. The river is right there with beautiful views of both directions on the bend. the hot tub is clean and functions great, and there is plenty of outdoor seating. The pictures don't really do justice for how nice the property is. Check-in was a breeze, and the expectations for check-out were not terrible. Would stay there again.
