Fantastic spot for a brothers fishing weekend. Beautiful spot and it was great to enjoy the fire pit and hot tub at the end of each day.
Great vacation!
This place was perfect, close enough to downtown to walk almost anywhere, far enough away that it was SILENT at night. Great amenities throughout, covered parking for the car was a plus. Easy and quick procedures, Brian was amazingly responsive (and forgiving of me being a confused dumb-dumb about checking in.)
We absolutely loved Brian’s place! It was immaculate and he has thought of everything to make for a relaxing stay. Nice location and close to all the fun Wilmington has to offer. Wonderful communication throughout our stay and the hot tub was such a bonus! Can’t wait to visit again!
Wonderful stay, nice area and a very convenient location close to all tourist attractions. Description of the property is very accurate. Highly recommend.
I found this property while planning a spur of the moment trip to Wilmington with my wife and our dog. The property was very clean and convenient to downtown and the beach. Will look to stay again on our next trip.
My family travelled to Wilmington for a short getaway. This house was wonderful. It was about a half mile from the river walk. Very easy to walk. The house was very well stocked. Has everything we needed. My kids loved the hot tub. The fire pit worked out really well too. If I’m ever back in Wilmington I would 100% try to stay here again.
We had a great time. Weather was perfect. Great location to the riverwalk. It is a perfect walking distance. The yard was perfect for the furbabies. House was clean and roomy. Will rent again!
We stayed for a week over New Year’s and, with two dogs, a fenced yard was key. This home was really cute and comfy for both two- and four-legged guests. There was a nice sized yard and a very nice dog bed which our Ridgeback greatly enjoyed. The s’mores station was a nice touch and we enjoyed it one night hanging around the fire pit.We enjoyed our stay and hated to leave so soon.
We booked Brian's house to surprise our daughter who attends UNCW. It was her birthday weekend and she was missing her dogs, so we brought them along. House was exactly like the listing, very nicely decorated and had everything our family needed. Dogs enjoyed the yard, we loved having smores around the fire pit and can't say enough about how clean the place was. Would definitely stay again.
If you are looking for a cozy home that’s truly a hidden gem this one is it. Brian thought of everything. We’ve rented many houses over the years and this by far is our favorite. Fenced in backyard for the dog and beautiful fire pit, grill, and hot tub was perfect for rest and relaxing! Don’t miss out on this one! We will be back soon!
Simply wonderful. The house was very warm and welcoming to include very nice and clean. We really appreciate the local information that was posted on the refrigerator. The house location was very convenient to our local family members. Perfect location and the amenities, - i.e hot tub and the fire pit were a great addition. Although we didn’t use the fire pit, the Jacuzzi was perfect way to relax after our long drive! Outstanding place and host!!!
This was such a great house. Brian was quick with his communications, the house was as described & pictured in the listing, and the accommodations at the house were top notch. From comfortable beds and linens to a well stocked kitchen, the hot tub & fireplace, a beautiful backyard, towels, toiletries, games, easy access to plugs & usb ports etc. Brian really went about and beyond to make this feel like home. I didn’t have my dogs with me this trip, but they would’ve been more than comfortable here with the big dog bed, bowls, and even a nice scooper ready for business in the backyard. 10/10 recommend and would love to stay here again.
We stayed at this downtown Wilmington property for two nights while in town for my daughter’s soccer showcase, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Check-in was seamless, the home was spotless, and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind. My girls especially loved the hot tub, the s’mores station, and all the fun games available—such a great way to wind down after long days on the field. The location offered great access to nearby restaurants. While we didn’t explore downtown much (the girls were wiped out after their games), we ordered from local spots via DoorDash and everything arrived quickly and easily.A few thoughtful touches really stood out—especially the privacy screen in the carport and the delicious coffee provided. The only thing we could’ve used was a few extra towels, but otherwise, everything was perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing and would absolutely stay here again!
This was a terrific place to stay. My husband and I, along with our two dogs, stayed for two weeks. We worked remotely one week and vacationed the second. This house was perfect for us. The fenced in yard was great for our dogs. We really enjoyed the firepit and hot tub.
The location was really good for us because we like to walk. This was a 10-15 minute walk to the Cape Fear River. Walking to the river felt very safe. We did walk in the other direction (away from the river), and that was a little rundown. This place was also a short drive to several beaches. I highly recommend Freeman Park Beach because you can drive on it (with a 4x4 vehicle). We also enjoyed Carolina and Wrightsville beaches.
Communication with Brian was top notch. We had a small issue and he responded immediately.
Overall, this was an amazing trip and we would definitely stay here again.
I stayed at the "house on Nunn" for about 5 weeks. It was a work/vacation combination and my first time to the area. During the booking experience Brian was great, responded quickly to questions and was overall very responsive. We checked in without a hitch and the house was everything and more. Aside from a stronger cork screw I can't think of a single item we didn't have. When one of three burners on the grill went out a new grill appeared within hours! Brian maintained the yard and hot tub during my stay and they were both in impeccable condition. The yard was perfect for my dog and we got near daily use of the hot tub and or fire pit. The front porch is great and we spent many mornings having our coffee out there. The beds, bedding etc were all in excellent shape and cozy. The Nespresso machine got a good work out and Brian made sure there were plenty of pods and a variety. The house is just a short walk to Front Street where all the action is- and amazing sunsets. We walked down almost every night and shopped, drank, had dinner- or simply took in the view. The local beaches were good but I am probably more biased to the beaches in my area (MA) - but Carolina Beach was my favorite of the ones near by. Southport is about 35 minutes away and a must see. We took the ferry to Bald Island which was beautiful I wish we had more time there. From aquariums, museums, ships (USS Carolina) there is so much to do. Highly recommend!
Very nice house. Close to everything we wanted to go to. Only complaint is that the backyard was super buggy (probably just the time of the year) and the grill didn’t work for us.
