"Upon arrival the front desk staff was so nice. We were given a room and it was filthy. It looked like all they did was make the bed without washing the covers which was covered in stains. All of the furniture had sticky spots and debris and the shower looked like it hadn't been washed in months. When I went down, I was given another room no questions asked and the clerk was so apologetic (I didn't get his name which is so not like me because I love giving Kudos) . New room was super clean and smelled fresh. There was even a sweet note on the bed from the housekeeper. I would stay here again"

"Our first time at this hotel as we were there for the Masters. Nice clean room close to restaurants and stores. Would definitely stay here again when in the area."

"Only had one issue with room, that being a toilet that got clogged on first morning, Informed desk, who informed maintenance man, who came up within 15-20 minutes and had it unclogged within 5 minutes. Said it was his first day; he made notations of other minor repairs needed (touch up paint, replace drain stopper). Breakfast-waffle maker had issues the 4 mornings we were there, either broken or out of batter, which was taken care of each morning. One morning a staff member working in breakfast area stated it was her first day, making me wonder if there is new management hiring/trying to turn place around from previous decline. My wife said her side of king-size mattress sagged on edge, making her feel like she was gong to fall off. Room itself was probably one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. "

"Had to leave in the middle of the night because of bed bugs. Got bit up. Told the front desk, they told me that there was nothing that they could do and that I had to wait for management. Waited on management, emailed them pictures and videos of bites and live bugs. I asked numerous times to receive a formal, written incident report but have yet to receive one. Management keeps saying they’ll call back but I’m the one who has to keep calling them. I’ve alerted DHEC, BBB and code enforcement to try to help ensure nobody else goes through this. I’m allergic and will eventually have to go to a doctor for antibiotics/steroids but am waiting for the incident report. I expect full compensation for my room, my deposit and any further medical bills associated to this or I will be seeking legal action. Happy 18 year anniversary to me and my wife, very disappointed in Econolodge."
