Step back in time in this traditional half-timbered holiday home in Willingshausen, dating back to the late Middle Ages. With 3 bedrooms, it comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests, making it perfect for families or groups. Unwind on the private terrace after a day of exploring.

The town center, just a short stroll away, offers shops, cozy cafés, and restaurants where you can enjoy everything from quick snacks to full 3-course meals. For nature lovers, the nearby forest, only 800 meters away, is ideal for walks and outdoor excursions.

Inside, the home is heated for your comfort and features a wood stove in the living-bedroom area, creating a warm, cozy atmosphere. Outside, the furnished garden boasts a barbecue, perfect for delicious meals. Three bicycles are provided to help you discover the charming surroundings. Hirtenhaus

Wir haben uns im Hirtenhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Zugegeben, die eine oder andere Beule aufgrund der niedrigen Türen haben wir mitgenommen. Doch dies war unser Fehler, denn wir wurden öfter darauf aufmerksam gemacht. Die Vermieter sind herzliche Leute, welche viel über die Geschichte des Hirtenhauses und auch über die Gegend erzählen können. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Und - mit einem Apfelkuchen und Kaffee empfangen zu werden haben wir vorher noch nie erlebt. Daumen hoch!!!

Bei Fragen rund um die Umgebung (Ausflugsziele etc.) wurde uns sehr geholfen. Das wunderschöne Fachwerkhaus ist sehr urig eingerichet (sowie es sein soll) und strahlt komplette gemütlichkeit aus. Fühlten uns sofort Zuhause. Die Einrichtung war genau abgestimmt auf das Alte Fachwerk. Das moderne Bad ist wirklich ein Traum. Einziges minimini Manko ist: Menschen über 1,65 m bitte Kopf einziehen wenn Ihr durch die Türe wollt. Aber hey! das gehört bei einem alten Fachwerk umbedingt dazu. Das Haus beherbert viele tolle Kunstwerke und man entdeckt soviel interresantes. Wollen gern wiederkommen und nehmen auch gern die Beule am Kopf in Kauf. Willingshausen ist definitv mehrere Besuche Wert.

Zur Begrüßung gab es Kaffee und Kuchen. Es ist etwas wie „Wohnen im Museum“. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll, gemütlich und praktisch. Im Winter hatten wir die Wahl zwischen dem Heizen mit Holz oder dem Andrehen der Ölheizung. Unsere Kinder haben sich für die erste Möglichkeit entschieden. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig in einem kleinen Ort. Wir konnten gut zwischen den Feldern spazieren gehen.

The house was better than we could have imagined - quirky and old, built in 1562, with a wood stove and higgledy-piggledy floors, a huge high-ceilinged top floor room bagged by our children, and yet with modern facilities - washing machine, induction hob, shower, wood burning stoves and central heating if needed. More than fully equipped, kind and helpful hosts, beautiful village, little local shops, stunning region for scenery and towns and things to do. We canoed and walked and drank in the scenery. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again.

Het prachtige sprookjesachtige huis uit een ver verleden heeft zoveel sfeer. De gastvrijheid is ongekend. Er stond vers gebakken gebak op ons te wachten. Tuurlijk het is geen modern huis, maar alles is aanwezig. Je moet wel goed ter been zijn, want de trap naar boven is behoorlijk stijl en oud. Wij gaan er vast nog een keer naar terug.

Guestbook, we have already entered on site. The winter holiday was great. But on heating with wood by day or at night is very chaotic. But in the end we were rewarded with a well-ingen heat. The TV was indeed there, but this was mainly used by adults almost never. For here we could sit in the evening with the children socialize and play each other. Was important to us that we could take our dogs and it worked wonderfully. Also had a lot of fun. Even the cook and bake with a wood stove was a great experience. It was an overall great Woche.Gruss from NRW

We wrote in the guest book that we have had excellent in Willingshausen. A very hospitable landlord, an authentic house decorated and very comfortable, at least if you are satisfied with the burning and cooking with wood stoves. In the vicinity are plenty of opportunities for natural and cultural excursions. Many beautiful villages and towns in the area and if you look closely Kunje daily castles.

Great location next to a house full of nostalgia from 1562. You will be very welcomed by the owner with a plum pie, tradition. Very nice area with lots of nice half-timbered houses. Shame there is no privacy in a garden behind the house. Garden is a patch of grass on the house across the road.
