Bungalow was light, clean, airy, secure, with good parking. AC and hot water worked well (w/exception below). I'm a well traveled male with adult son on 13 day dive trip. Macro location very good. Close to dive shop, good restaurants, and access to dive locations north and south. However, death by a thousands cuts. Kitchen not well equipped. If you are preparing no meals then fine. Lock on front door a pain - sometimes taking 6-7 tries to unlock. Slider difficult to shut and lock. Bathroom door jams half open. AC belched condensate and soaked the bed one evening. Worn towels/floor mats need replacing. Door lock to bathroom with key jammed in it. Not enough garbage bags supplied. Toilet flush 1/2 inoperable. Toilet seat mounted an inch off line. None of these small details prevent use of the space, but they show a lack of care that separate a 3 from a 4 rating. Most impactfully, the "micro" location is not the best. Yes, the view of the bay is nice, but the unit is located in an economically failed resort development. As a result, the 6-7 commercial buildings directly across the street are vacant, vandalized, and strewn with litter. They attracted partiers that hung out, played very loud music 'til 3AM., and loved doing donuts in the cul-d-sac. Within 1/4 mi of the unit is a multistory condo complex under construction. The rock breaking excavator fired up promptly at 7AM each day. This place is doable, but I wouldn't rent it again. A solid 3 of 5.
