Hamilton Island was well worth a visit but if we come again a 3 to 4 night stay is plenty. Best thing on the island is Hamilton Golf Course (which is a 10min boat ride away) and would be the primary reason we come back. Part of the pool area and restaurant was being refurbished so all other restaurants and pools were very busy and you needed to pre book all, which we fortunately did. Our biggest criticism would be that the age of the staff is very young and with that comes a lack of service professionalism.

We had a perfect stay at Palm Bungalows and were pleasantly surprised by the access and amenities that came with staying there. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our trip a very relaxing and enjoyable one. As others have mentioned, check in was a little slow (not helped by the heat upon arrival from the airport), but otherwise everything else was perfect.

Loved the bungalow we were in with the birds in trees and the wallabies feeding on the lawn. The pool, beach, restaurants etc were a 2 minute walk. The Wild life cafe was just up from the end of the street.

Nice hotel, no working pool or gym right now

Lovely and spacious hotel room and not too far from central locations (5-10 mins drive via taxi). Very easy check in / check out process. Unfortunately during our stay the pool and gym were both undergoing planned renovations. The alternative offered was a taxi to and from a nearby hotel instead to use theirs however I feel this defeats the purpose / convenience of having a hotel with these facilities. We booked well in advance and unfortunately had no correspondence to inform us of this (we probably would have cancelled our stay and booked elsewhere with pool etc if so, and felt a bit that we did not get our moneys worth because of this.

The beach was great but the staff really let the place down, it did not feel like a place you could relax and be taken care of. I couldn't pick up internet in the bungalows but would connect immediately outside closed shops by the marina. The bungalow was very run down and stained but the mold at the bottom of the shower and roof could be cleaned. I wouldn't go back or recommend it - go to Daydream Island instead it was much better.
