The room was excellent. We also got some discounts off Terry for local restaurants which where also excellent Location was spot on to get anywhere Don’t take highest 309 though it’s a gravel road for about 10 miles

What a fabulous place to stay. The location was excellent, stunning views. The apartment was very clean, with a comfortable bed and had everything I required. Wonderful helpful hosts too. Would highly recommend and will be back to stay again.

We had a great stay at Esplanade Apartments, was a shame it was only for 1 night. Great apartment with everything we needed. Terry and Deborah were great and allowed us to check in early with our infant for he could sleep which was awesome. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Whitianga.

Close to restaurants and stores. Very accommodating with storing our luggage and our appartment was ready when we arrived early. This was such a convenience to us as it gave us the extra time to explore Whitianga!The appartment had all the comforts of homeThis was a bonus. Very friendly and accommodating owners/ managers. Great position right on harbour front lovely people very helpful close to all restaurants with Irish pub next door Only issue there was no air con and very hot few days whilst we were there but apparently it will be installed some time this year

We had a lovely stay Terry and his wife are the perfect hosts couldn’t do enough for you. The room we had was perfect clean,had all the amenities you could need. We would highly recommend the Esplande fantastic location . We wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The location of the property was great and the pool and spa at the premise was excellent. The room we had was relatively modern but the furniture was a little rundown. There seemed to be a bit of a problem with ants in our apartment, they were everywhere (bathroom/kitchen/ bedroom) even with all of our food put away. This was quite annoying. Apart from that the property was great and the pool was a big hit with our children!

Great location, clean and tidy apartment with good self catering facilities. Helpful, friendly staff. Only negative was the hot tub could do with some more regular cleaning and the pool was a bit cold.

Nice presented apartment sclose to everything
Great stay for a family with young kids, self contain apartment. Restaurants, cafe and kids play area are walking distance. It is clean, well presented. However there is no daily housekeeping, not a big issue but Something to keep in mind.

My family loved our stay here. Our apartment was modern and sparkling clean, and the property is in a great location right next to an Irish pub and a fantastic kids playground. Staff very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect location right across the road from the harbour / beach. Great for kids with a playground across the road. Having a washing machine was an excellent bonus. Walking distance to shops, takeaways, restaurants. Irish pub & 2 cafes next door. Excellent friendly service

Superb service and serious comfort
This is Whitianga’s premier accommodation. The apartments are spacious and very comfortable, and guest services are remarkable. They make you feel right at home. Only one advisory for prospective guests is that there’s no air con or heat pump in the room. If you’re not accustomed to NZ summer humidity or winter dampness, then realise that the accommodation may not offer indoor climate control.

Great Stay

The place was fine if you smoke but we were non smokers and couldn’t have the balcony door/windows open much because of others smoking outside

Perfect location and space for family!!
After we checked into this darling little apartment hotel, we wished we had booked more nights in with whitianga! It was perfectly spotlessly clean, a lot of space and the best location in that small town! Our host was so nice to show us our apartment and took the time to help me plan my stay including looking up when low tide would be for hot water beach. We loved this place and our only regret was that we were only there one night!

Beautiful hotel in the middle of everything
This hotel is beautifully modern and right across the street from the water, with plenty of restaurants and small shops within walking distance. There's plenty of parking available, including in a secured underground garage. The soaps and shampoos are top quality, the bathrooms have heated tile floors and a heated towel bar. The kitchen has top-end appliances. Lots of windows, comfortable furniture and bedding. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Nice Apartment in great location
Friendly staff; great location; clean apartments with washer (no dryer); bit crowded with furniture; great pool; no Air Con so it was very humid and you have to pay for Wi-Fi - this in today’s IT world is a bit backwards in my opinion ? Still more positives than negatives and if you can cope with no AC it’s a winner ...... and the restaurant within the complex (although not associated with the apartment complex) is a must - great steak and seafood / service :-)
