Spectacular sunrises over the bay

"Very nice location. Easy access and good place to head out to different places we wanted to see. Mackinac Island. Soo Locks. Pictured Rocks. Whitefish Point. Tahquamenon Falls. And 2 boat launches nearby was very convenient. Family of eagles living nearby. We used the properties kayaks but 2 of the 4 of them were not in good enough condition to use. Hot water was a problem but we just had to space showers out a couple hours. Owner was responsive to our questions regarding that. Didn't change anything but he did respond right away. I would rate it all excellent except there is apparently a water leak maybe in the bathroom and the smell of mildew was awful. Kept the windows open all the time. It took away from from an otherwise great property. I would love to go back but not unless I knew that had been addressed properly. Otherwise it's a very scenic, quiet getaway."

"Great location between Lower Tahquamenon Falls and Paradise. Unit was clean, comfortable and included basic amenities. Nice back patio with grill, chairs, fire pit and hammock. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to stay!"

"Property was very nice and spacious. We were disappointed with there being no beach as we were hoping to look for agates but it's a dropoff with no walkable beach."

"Second time staying at one of the Freighter's View accommodations. The view is unbeatable! Our stay was decent and we will stay again. The stay would have been a 5, except some of the niceties could have been better- enough bowls for 4 people, a mixing bowl, enough toilet paper for the whole stay... as someone who has cleaned numerous rentals for years, maybe I'm just picky. All in all, though, affordable and a nice stay!"

"The property and location were very nice. I would stay here again. Being on the water was a big plus, and if you’re careful climbing up and down the rocks that lead to the water, it’s worth it. Nice sand bar about 50 feet out. Rooms were nice and comfy, plenty of space to hang out and watch a movie at night. The bonfire area and chairs were nice and there was firewood so we didn’t have to purchase ourselves. Check in and check out process was smooth and the owners were good with communication."

"Adorable little place right on Whitefish Bay. Very clean, cozy and comfy. Cleaning person was always cleaning - even dusting off outside propane grills, chairs and the walls. She was very friendly and gave us her phone number if we needed anything. They even provided a bundle of wood for the outdoor fire pit. Small kitchen area had retro colors for a small frig and coffee pot. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans. Decor in the whole place was adorable. Wi-Fi in the UP is very touchy."

"What an amazing experience. Accommodations were perfect, decor was perfect and the sound of the lake was very relaxing. Would definitely stay here again!"
