"The last 5 years we stay here in the fall season for a few days, as it’s always a nice getaway. But…. Even though I gave 4 stars out of five, I should had tried to book the downstairs handicap room as I did the past 4 years, as my wife needed it. I know the price was higher on the handicap room, but we had no idea the other rooms were so not handicapped friendly. The room they gave us was on 2nd floor last room in corner, which was extremely noisy of traffic, and so small with the one bed there was no room on either side of bed to barely walk to get into bed. The bathroom was the worst, the toilet so low with No hand railings to get up or down, with the shower having to step almost 2 feet up and down to get in and out which was so difficult for us as no railings there either. As in past the downstairs handicap room was the best, so if we decided to continue our fall trips I must try to book it. The downstairs breakfast they have is very nice, but it ends to early at 9 am, as who wants to get up that early on vacation! As getting down there at 8:45 am each day we found No milk in refrigerator for our cereal! We did enjoy the pancakes and bagels and some sweet rolls, plus at times the one elevator we had to wait over 5 minutes to come, as the maid was using it."

"Best hotel I have stayed at while in Deadwood. Had an issue with the card I wanted to use amd they went above and beyond to make things right. Also at the bar might have one of the best pizzas in town."

"This was a great overnight stay. Fairly basic hotel, but the rooms were roomy with comfortable beds and bathroom that had sink and mirror separate from toilet and shower, which I find convenient for a couple. Very hospitable and helpful staff, including a warm cookie upon arrival. Also had one of the better informal breakfasts I’ve had, with cheese omelet and wheat waffles. Very walkable to Main Street restaurants and brewery, along with convenience store next door. Deck and fire pit overlooked the countryside. The maintenance issues were an empty hand soap container in our room and broken ice machine. The night attendant quickly resolved both. Our floors were also squeaky and you could hear hallway noise a bit but no issue overnight."
