Vacation Village At Williamsburg

"The staff was very friendly and informative. We only stayed for 1 (rainy) night, so we did not get a chance to take advantage of the many amenities but there were plenty of activities and the property was very nice. It did seem a bit odd that after check in, we had to go to guest services for our parking pass, but again, all staff was excellent to work with. This may be more beneficial for guests who were staying for more than just one night, however. We booked a garden view room. The view was the hedge row between streets. We were also not aware the unit was on the second floor with only stairs to access. Again, these were not huge issues to us as we were only there overnight. We will definitely look to stay at Vacation Village at Williamsburg again. The staff was very personable and I’m sure if I had went back and asked, they could have adjusted our unit. Now we will know what to ask for when booking our next trip!"

"Overall this was a great choice. I was visiting family nearby and didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel, so I gave a good rating for some of the categories as I didn't get to try them. The hotel was easy to find and located very near an outdoor shopping mall with good chain restaurant choices, a Walmart, TJ Maxx and other stores. Within walking distance of the hotel are a Wendy's and Chipotle. The area felt very safe. Check-in was great, the lobby is very clean. The hotel staff were friendly. When we got to our room, there was a slight bleach smell and I would rather that than a moldy smell. The bathroom and room were clean and lots of towels. Beds were very comfortable. I didn't eat the breakfast, my son did and said it was great. I would definitely stay here again."

"Beautiful old mansion restored into a hotel. It’s quirky in a good way. We loved the views from the room. It was raining a lot so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor space as much as we liked. More effort could be put into the landscaping and a covered outdoor space would be a nice addition. Our room was clean however sheets were polyester rather than quality fine grade cotton which was disappointing and didn’t make for a nice experience. Shower also needed an overhaul. Grout/ silicone needs to be replaced and throughly cleaned. Better fixtures were expected. Our main complaint was the very strange dining menu, which is not available online. There is no ‘theme’ and nothing honestly sounded amazing enough to tempt us to eat there. Breakfast is also table service (included in the booking) but it’s only from 8am - 9:30am, making it impossible to get an early start. Coffee is only available from 7am onward as well. Overall a strange experience- don’t think we would return unless some things changed."

"The house was perfect, to bad the weather wasn't the first three days we dealt with the nor'easter but it gave us time to rest. Monday night music at the Hole in the Wall was a nice surprise."

"Here’s a warm, natural version:We had such a wonderful stay at Kim’s VRBO! The place was absolutely adorable, extremely clean, and even nicer than we expected. Everything felt well cared for, comfortable, and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend Kim’s place to anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and beautiful place to stay. We would definitely stay again!"

"Though it is obvious that money is tight and some maintenance and ambiance needs have been put on hold, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant. It was a much lower price than other places to stay, and I enjoyed my time there."
Cottage on a Private Island in the York River

"A delightful island cottage with beautiful views of York River. The place was pet-friendly as our 2 fur-babies were welcomed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the cottage, along with the sights and sounds of the local wildlife. The cottage was clean with comfortable furniture and well-equipped kitchen. The front porch and back deck were just perfect for sitting, enjoying the breezes, and watching the views of life on the river. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend renting this cottage. We do plan to try to return next year."
