  • Welcome to Our View House

    We decided to share our guesthouse because we love sharing the incredible view we’re so lucky to enjoy every day. It’s truly special — and we wanted our friends and guests to experience it too.

    Our 600-square-foot modern guesthouse was designed as a private honeymoon-style retreat. Perched on concrete sonotubes 18 feet above the ground, it feels like a modern treehouse, offering a unique sense of floating among the trees while taking in breathtaking views of Hood River, Mt. Hood, and the Columbia River Gorge — our favorite view of all.

    Access to the guesthouse is via a 30-foot steel bridge and about 35 long steps, adding to the secluded and elevated feel.

    Although the space is private, it’s located near our main house, so a few house rules help keep things peaceful for everyone:

    One vehicle maximum — please park on the east side (left side) of the main house.
    Two guests maximum. The only exception is for infants not yet crawling (for safety reasons — sharp glass edges).
    If you love modern architecture, panoramic views, and tranquility, we think you’ll truly enjoy your stay.

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this beautiful property. The view is simply stunning. From coffee time to wine time it was wonderful to sit and watch the view change. The furnishings and amenities are also perfect. It’s a quick drive into town, and only a few minutes more for Hood River. The property owners were great at communicating, and check-in and out were a breeze. We cannot recommend this property highly enough.

The view is everything you think it would be. The house has the best of everything. Great amenities, fully stocked kitchen, clean and welcoming. Woke up each morning to deer in the yard. The place is perfect for two.

We had a lovely visit. White salmon is spectacular. The view of Mt. Hood from this residence is unbelievable. The guest house is nicely appointed with everything you need. The only thing I would add would be a fan that you could use in the evenings when the sun is setting because it does get warm.

Amazing Views

Property has a great view of the river and down the gorge. We had sunny weather when we arrived and got to experience some lightning later in the evening. Property was clean and perfect for just the two of us while we explored the Hood River area. Definitely recommend the Bigfoot museum in Boring, OR and the Antique Aeroplane and Car museum. Finished off the trip with a quick hike up Beacon Rock just before the rain came back. Great place to stay if you get the chance.

Private location with an awesome view

Location was central to everything I wanted to do. Quick drive to White Salmon and Hood River. Tons of wine tasting, mountain biking and hiking in the area. The property itself had amazing views of the Columbia River Valley with floor to ceiling windows. Very private and very quiet. Modern amenities and decor provided a comfortable stay.

Just as beautiful the 2nd time!

We came up to enjoy the peace and quiet and escape the craziness of the holidays. The view is unforgettable day and night, cloudy or clear. We rented a couple of years ago and were really looking forward to being there again this weekend. It was just as incredible, and just what we needed!

Ernesto and Marcela’s place was in pristine conditions, their response was always fast and polite, and location couldn’t be better. We will definitely consider coming back to admire the Gorge’s view from their guest house. Our only suggestion is to switch to softer pillows or have an alternative to choose from. Lorena .

The Penthouse is an accurate description! You are on top of the cliff! 180 degree view, a wall of windows from kitchen/living room & bedroom. Over looking the Columbia River & Hood River. Everything was nicely appointed & comfortable! VERY NICE!
