The space is still shared with other guests, next time we will just take the entire space as it was a little uncomfortable with other guests there in the other rooms. "The stay was amazing. The views from the room, the sound of waves crashing at night was so refreshing. The quiet of the property really allows for reset, relaxation and reconnection that a hotel can’t provide. The staff were helpful and respectful at all times, zero complaints. Nitpicking - I wished there were more options for tea/refreshment with breakfast. The options were only coffee/ iced tea. I think orange juice and hot chocolate/milo as options would have been appreciated. They do sell a cup of orange juice however. They also need to make it clear the times for dinner all nights, I went to dinner the Sunday at the time I was told the previous day but the chefs were all gone and it was at that point I was told dinner ends earlier on Sundays. I had to leave and drive a half hour away to get food as most places were already closed which was surprising as it was still pretty earlier on a Sunday."

"Everyone is so welcoming here . Jay was above and beyond providing great communication with all the information needed to prepare for the stay, and his mom Angela is very warm and kind and cooks amazing meals, I loved all the fresh whole foods and juices . The location is a perfect base for doing the Blue Mountain peak hike. There is also a river that you can hike to and swim in. They also grow and sell their own coffee! The guesthouse is only reachable by 4wd, if you don’t have that they can arrange a ride/ pick you up . I was able to take my rental sedan as close as Hagley gap but coming from Portland there were parts of the mountain roads that were pretty sketchy, having to ford a river and go up a pretty steep hill. It might not be passable if it’s been raining. Also Google Maps directions had some errors. Driving to/from Kingston the roads are much better."
