Diamond in the Rough.

This is an older hotel but has a lot of character and the owner was a super nice guy that I really enjoyed speaking with at breakfast! He recommended going and seeing the Oregon Trail Ruts, which I did when I left and that was very interesting as well.

Bunk at the Bunkhouse:

We have stayed with Gordon and Valerie ever the last two Septembers. The Bunkhouse is clean and we love the “old west” decor. Good breakfast, great hosts, and overall good value. Yes, we recommend that you bunk at The Bunkhouse!

This was the perfect stop over on a long haul ride trip. Even though we arrived very late after a long drive, we received considerate, excellent service. In the morning it was delightful to have the complimentary breakfast in a classic mountain lodge environment, and receive excellent weather and road trip advice from Gordon. We are looking forward to coming back when we can stay and explore the historic area. Lovely people, lovely place!
