"Ideally placed cottage with all the things you need ie soap washing up liquid t towels all the plates and glasses you need etc a home from home that welcomed our dog too. Fantastic enclosed garden lovely and warm cottage with a great shower"

"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

"Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay. Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful. Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub. Only downside, studio was small."

"We found the property clean but lacking, certainly not "Superb". The decor was sparse e.g. bare light bulbs. Negatives Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three. Kitchen: Two sets of knives & forks for three, no large glasses or wine glasses, no fire blanket/extinguisher, no downstairs smoke alarm I could spot. "The accommodation is a 5 minute drive out of Barnard Castle where there are plenty of options for a bite to eat plus essential shopping. Everything worked properly and was clean and smart. The bed was comfortable."

"A really comfortable and charming property. Very clean with a well equipped kitchen. The bed was also good (even for me with a bad back). The location is superb - in a quiet valley, an easy walk to Bolton castle and just a stroll to Aysgarth waterfalls. As a map will show, really close to Wensley and Leyburn with nice pubs. Juliet and David were very friendly hosts (as were the sheep)."

"This was a nice room for two people and all the facilities were as described. The photos are an accurate representation. Great communication via WhatsApp/text with Kelvin House prior to our departure, which was greatly appreciated. It would be useful to have a mirror in the room as well as in the shared bathroom. We had to wait 20 minutes for the bathroom to be vacated by the folks in the other room in order to use the mirror. The bed pillows were the bolster type and gave us both a stiff neck on the first morning. We had to borrow two normal pillows from relatives in the area so that we could get a good night's sleep. Overall, great accommodation for a short stay in the area though in future we will opt for en suite accommodation."
