Maine Waterfront Cottage: Nestled on an acre of land, with 500ft of shore front

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this cottage with our son, daughter-in-law and grandson. The house was bright, beautiful, clean, comfortable, peaceful and private. We enjoyed kayaking, bird watching from the deck, shopping in Damariscotta, and day trips to Pemaquid and Boothbay Harbor as the cottage is very conveniently located to several top spots on the Maine coast. Mother Nature treated us to spectacular weather, a full double rainbow across the bay after a brief late afternoon shower, and clear views of the full Strawberry Moon. We had everything needed to prepare meals when we didn’t feel like eating out. We have rented several places up and down the East Coast of the US, and this cottage is one of the nicest and most well-appointed. We will be back!"

"The host allowed for an early check-in, which was incredibly helpful. The location and size of the home to have spaciousness for our extended family gathering were perfect. Most of the beds seemed to be fine, according to my family, but mine was not comfortable (the one hidden in the corner between a bedroom and a bathroom). The showers were a bit awkward. One was very small and the other was part of a claw-foot tub. It was charming, but challenging to get in and out of. Especially for an elderly person. Overall, a great location and lovely size and lots of charm and beautiful piano and lots of books to read and games to play! A great family home."

"All in all a pleasant place to stay; a bit noisy at night from the bands at the wharf and from early am truck traffic but private and close to shops & restaurants. The "easy chairs" are not so easy to get out of and too soft for back support for people who read a lot of books, but that's a minor quibble. We'd happily stay there next September if we can."

"If you want a fun glamping experience on a boat, I can't recommend Mazu enough! The location is fantastic, with live music close by and fresh lobster just steps away. The harbor offers a classic Maine vibe—truly a quintessential Maine experience! While Mazu is a bit older, it was comfortable and clean, making it ideal for our two-night stay. I can't wait for a longer visit next time! Thanks for a wonderful stay!"
