Great location and accommodation was lovely. Not a cheap stay but if you have kids there is lots to keep them amused. Some of the kids zones are a bit tired and need a refresh. We were there at Easter and they were short staffed in the restaurant. Food was good but needed more options given the prices being charged. Breakfast was great. Staff were excellent but stressed due to shortages.

The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We travelled with our 13 week old baby and they had everything we could possibly need. Lots of indoor and outdoor activities for kids of different ages. The only thing is that to make use of the daycare you need to book it well in advance, we booked last minute and there was no availability.

Very nice room with large modern bathroom. All the staff were friendly and gave the extra mile in terms of service. Good restaurant.

Lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely walks from the hotel. All area welcoming & clean. The letdown comes in the restaurant…..food was overpriced and very average. Would recommend eating at local pub.

This was a lovely home away from home kind of place. Although it is based slightly out of town, the semi rural setting and wonderful facilities on offer help you to truly unwind. The staff were very friendly, particularly Karen who was really attentive and Andrew who led a fun and fact filled fossil hunt. It's a great place for both adults and children. Well worth the stay.

Lovely Moonfleet Manor
Staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. Hotel in lovely position on SW coastal path. If you are not coming with children good to avoid school holidays. Amazing facilities for families bringing children. Lovely on site spa too.

Great for families
Great experience. First time away with our newborn and the staff were very accomodating and made it a less stressful experience. Breakfast was really good. There was enough there to keep our little one entertained but I think families with older kids (toddlers) would really enjoy it.

Great hotel, perfect location
Last minute stay, beautiful location, friendly staff and lots to do. On arrival we were shown to our room which had a balcony overlooking the garden and out towards Portland. The room was nice and clean, larger than expected as it was the “cosy room”. Breakfast was included and good quality. We had an evening meal one night which was nice but a little on the expensive side, was good quality though so happy with the price other than the cocktails, £17 for one cocktail is a little excessive in my opinion. The hotel is child friendly as explained on their website so there was a lot of children(with children come noise), plenty to entertain them though. There was far more to do than I expected, nice pool which we timed right so had to ourselves. Nice coastal walks from the hotel so we didn’t use the car once we had arrived. We will certainly visit again.

Excellent family hotel!
Excellent hotel. First guests post lockdown and they made every effort to keep guests as safe as possible. Such as only 3 families max in the swimming pool. Windows open a lot in the restaurant. Was a really great mini break for us and the kids!

The entertainment for the kids was brilliant, you couldn’t fault it and probably best out of all the hotels we’ve stayed in , However there could of been just little touches that could of made the whole experience a little better. Staying in the sister hotels there were some differences and something that maybe this hotel could do to make it outstanding and the best . We stayed at two other of the sister hotels and they had names for the children on the table and the tables at breakfast and they were set up child friendly with cups and bibs bowls and cutlery high chairs already at the table so you just sat down and relaxed . Little gift was nice in one hotel for our 5 year old a crab net was put on his bed in fowey he was so excited. Biscuits in the room would of been nice at moonfleet and some variety of herbal tea if I was to be picky . The swimming pool could do with updating at moonfleet but apart from those things mentioned it still is very worth the money and a lovely stay .

Absolutely perfect for families, so much to do. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend. The pool does need updating to be more ‘spa experience’ and they need to change the chef as the food wasn’t that great, but overall it was fantastic!

From the moment we set foot in this stunning hotel, our 2 year old son was made to feel like a VIP. All the staff knew his name, his allergies and went the extra mile to ensure that our family had the best time away and that us as parents got a well deserved break too with the onsite creche. Incredible place. They truly have thought of everything a family may need.

Our stay on the whole was good. We did have an issue with the dinner menu. Not a lot of choice and although very expensive did not really enjoy.

Great stay except..
It was a weekend trip for us. Even though only a night it was great. Loved the furniture. There s no ac in the rooms. But fans available. I understand it is a family hotel but we were a couple without kids and excepting a romantic quiet stay. There were so many noisy kids at the dining area while we were trying to have our candle lit dinner . The area is pretty nice and having scenic views.

We had a lovely stay at Moonfleet, it was out 6th wedding anniversary and we took our 4 children along(5,4,1 & 1) there is no denying how fantastic this hotel and concept is for familes, we enjoyed the free child care and also the Sunday break fast club so felt like we had a real break and rest. The hotl had renovation works going in to the exterior - which we knew about, but generally the hotel looked a little bit tired internally, the veranda had a couple of attractions not working or just missing bits. our room was lovely and ideal for our family set up.

Lovely Stay for Couple and Dog
This is a well organised, slick yet laid back hotel. The staff are very relaxed and approachable. The facilities are great, the grounds and local area are exceptional for walking and the food is delicious. Our dog was very well treated too!! The hotel is a short car journey from the centre of Weymouth and is a great starting location for several coastal walks.

The hotel is undergoing repairs which we were for warned about by email. We loved the friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere of this hotel. The room was lovely and we loved our stay. It was a shame that I only booked for one night only. Would have loved to have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Breakfast was great and all the staff were super friendly and helpful.

We had the most amazing time at Moonfleet! Staff could not be more friendlier and helpful! From arrival to departure we were given the most amazing family experience with our 3 month old. Fabulous facilities! As well as food. Cannot wait to come back :)
