Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. built in 1792 this charming colonial house is the most charming place you could dream of, fully appointed with a Wolf range and top of the line appliances, it is located on the historic mile of Westminster town of Vermont, literally 30 minutes from ski slopes and 5 minutes from gorgeous hikes in the natures, surrounded by the quintessential beauty of New England, a walk from the Connecticut river, great restaurants all around & farms.

Farm Stands and Grocery Harlow farmstand and Café Loco restaurant open until dec 10th( 5 minutes) g, Allen Bros Farms farm stand and market with a great nursery, 5 mn from the house both going north on route 5. If you cross the river Connecticut you will be in New Hampshire and Walpole has a wonderful stand: Pete stand closed from end of December to early May next to the city of Keene Stone wall farms WG in Walpole is a small but gourmet grocery market not to miss Shaw in North Walpole For wine: NH wine outlet in north Walpole next to Shaw The Keene co op wonderful products. Great seafood and in my opinion the best market around.
If you go south on the route 5 you will make a stop at the harlow Sugar maple farm for a creamee, maple ice cream etc If you continue you will find Putney ( 10 minutes) a charming little town in Vermont with many potters and cheese makers. Putney Diner is also a fun little diner. In the winter, on Sunday, there is a farmer market held at green mountain Orchards, in the summer in front of the co-op in Putney.
In the summer you can pick your own blueberry, strawberries, peaches and apples. Same as Allison Orchards in Walpole.
Covered bridges: Franconia, Cornish windsor 2nd longest bridge across the Connecticut river and many more all over the Vermont and New Hampshire state.
Antique shops
If you go north from La maison on the route 5 you will find the charming town of Bellow falls with a wonderful Antique store the windham antique center and few restaurants, if you continue North you will get to the famous Vermont Country store. A little trip to Chester Vermont is nice if you like antique the Stone antique house is a very large collective of antique dealers. On route 12 you will find the collective of flying pig.
Restaurants:
you will want to explore the quintessential Walpole village with its famous Burdicks chocolate tea house and the restaurant Burdick with a fantastic menu and exquisite oysters and martinis. Walpole has the prestigious 9 holes Hooper golf with the great Watkins tavern check the days when they are open in the winter for a drink or lunch/ diner with amazing views, a place not to miss. Rancho viejo in Walpole for house margaritas and burritos, combo plates ( very generous servings) If you like Sushis, do not miss the sushi restaurant in Keene:Kurama Omakase, and try their fried rice spicy tuna rolls !!! Best bakery in Keene: firedogs on Emerald street they are the best make sure to place your order online the night before or you may not have a lot of choices left.
