This is a very basic 2 bedroom that served our needs for a home base toexplore yellowstone np. Not te best location in west yellowstone and looks from outside are deceiving, but it was comfortable and clean and safe.
The place was in a quieter area of West Yellowstone. The beds were comfortable. A couple negatives…they didn’t provide enough coffee for our length of stay, nor any coffee filters.
Also, no instructions for using the bedroom tv.
Great home for our Yellowstone visit. Had everything we needed. Not even 5 min to West gate to Yellowstone. Beds were super comfy. Would absolutely stay again.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Small but comfortable. A little more seating would be great, just a chair (recliner type). Beds we're comfortable.
There fishing with my son on the Madison a few days. Needed something homey with space to live in and relax. Alpine 2 filled the bill. Clean and well provisioned. Rental staff was helpful before, during and after.
We enjoyed our stay in the Alpine West Cabana. It is a good size for 5 to 6 people. We cooked our breakfast in the cabana every morning before heading to Yellowstone for the day. The kitchen is well stocked with pans, plates, and cutlery. We would stay here again.
We didn't spend much time in this property, as we were driving around Yellowstone all the time. But it was a great place to come back to and crash. Plenty of room for our two teenage boys as well. Convenient to the park, if you avoid "rush hour."
Right at the west entrance gate with access to multiple restaurants , cafe and grocery. Beautiful town with amazing views. House had all the basic requirements.
This property was just as listed on the site. Owner gave very detailed instructions for check in and check out. We loved how close it was to the entrance to Yellowstone. For our family of five very well.
Clearn, comfortable, convenient with fully equipped facilities as well as good location.
The only thing was that the fume detector was too sensitive, even a bread toaster properly working could lead it alarming.

Super clean and close to the Park
The Cabana was great for our 2 night stay. The place was super clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen has all the plates, utensils and items needed to prepare and make our meals. Appreciated the blackout curtains in the bedroom. There’s a cute little seating area outside and a grill. Parking was easy, just outside the door. The Cabana is about 10 mins from the West Yellowstone gate. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance or a short car ride. I would definitely stay here again!
We really liked staying here. I appreciated the binder full of brochures that were so helpful. We were not impressed with the restaurants, but that is not this VRBO's fault. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Loved having the wi-fi as well. I have to agree with the other renters about the stone platform under the electric stove. My kid stumped his toe on it. How about cutting a pool noodle in half and put around it so it stands out and has some protection? Would definitely recommend and stay again.
When first seeing the property, I thought “Oh no, this isn’t going to work.” The outside looks rundown and very unappealing. But, we were pleasantly surprised inside. It was quite clean (carpet needed some attention), and was doable. Downside was that heater did not work in living area, no dishwasher so we prewashed the dishes and no air conditioning which could be a problem in the summer.
Overall the unit was ok. It seemed smaller in person than on the listing. Everything was essentially as described. However, I will agree with a previous reviewer that the brickwork for the electric fireplace is a major tripping hazard and the floors did not seem clean. Although we only have preteen and teens, I agree with that reviewer that I would not have wanted an infant crawling on the floor. However, the check in process, ease of use and location were all great.

Great location, great for a family of 4
Great property. Convenient to amenities in West Yellowstone and to Yellowstone park. There are two separate bedrooms, which was perfect for our family. The landlords are very responsive. All the appliances and wifi work. There is a cute side patio for grilling and playing games. The bathroom includes a bath tub which is great for kids!
The only downside is that this property is listed as having laundry facilities. My son is 5 years old and still wets the bed. There is no diaper that exists that can hold the amount he can pee in a night, so we have to get up 3-4 times per night to wake him to go to the bathroom. Even so there are still often accidents. I specifically selected this property because we knew we would be washing sheets. We only found out upon arrival that there was no laundry. Luckily, we were able to get him up frequently enough during the night to avoid an accident.

Not as Advertised!
There is sooo much wrong here. It is NOT a cabana; it IS a converted office space attached to a former car repair building. There was no laundry area although there information alluded to one. The "air conditioning" was an "indoor" unit vented to the outside using a dryer exhaust hose through a window. It produced more heat than cool. The dead bolt was broken. Rusted "burners" on grill (actually they were rusted through but could still be lit, very unsafe). Roof leaked around vent for electric fireplace. Kitchen utensils--some were worn out. Cleanliness was not of high priority--found eaten sunflower seed shells on bedroom night stand and other areas just plain nasty. Stove burner drip pans were filthy. Rolling butcher block cart was falling apart. I have pictures if you want them!
Imagine yourself, husband and 3 children driving ALL DAY to get to your destination in West Yellowstone. You arrive at your property at 7:30 during Covid, Check into your home to find it dirty. There was a bottle of covid disinfectant left on the table which did come in handy as I had to clean the fridge upon arrival as it was dirty. The home is not really a home but converted garage. (which I could have dealt with). My husband and children started to unpack and we found the sheets to be dirty. They had hairs on them and one had stains. The extra blankets in the closets had not been freshly laundered because I smelled them. I stripped the beds and looked for an open laundromat. I could not find one so I did message the contact in the binder left on the table. This went to NO Voicemail like stated so I emailed through the VBRO website. while waiting for a reply we found the couch cover was also filthy. There was something crusty on it. There was also a fireplace placed in the room that was not pictured. It was pretty, but a tripping hazard. My husband and I both tripped on it moving around the room. Then my 14 month old tripped and hit his face on the stone. (He is fine) but at this point he was screaming, my family was hungry and we had no dinner or a clean place to stay. We quickly packed up the car and found a new hotel to stay at. In the meantime the cleaning person did contact me and say they would change the sheets. At this point, no thank you. If the basics were not clean, we did not want our baby crawling around on the floor. So, we ended up canceling the stay and staying at another local hotel. The property manager was NOT NICE about any of this. She would only refund half our money so my family is out close to $700. During a pandemic we would expect way more from a rental unit. During our 15 day road trip every other property we stayed at was very clean (my husband brought a black light so we did check). It is completely unacceptable that the property manager would not refund our money when it was not up to the current CDC cleanliness standards and the listing should be updated to state it is NOT Safe for young children. This place is not family friendly so do not bring young children and I would have recommended it for adults if the manager had been gracious enough to refund us. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
A friend and I were in West Yellowstone on a fishing trip. This small property was a perfect fit for us and had everything we needed for our week long stay. We could cook for ourselves as needed, had 2 seperate bedrooms and a clean well stocked bathroom and kitchen. It is a great fit for 2 people or two couples who know each other well. I would stay here again!!
