"My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay at Casa Sophia. It's a setting where time slows remarkably and you feel a guilt-free pleasure in having an equally slow pace to your days.I first discovered Casa Sophia back in 2017 while searching the internet for places to stay in Europe. We elected to go to Italy that time but I kept an eye on Casa Sophia. As the years went by I continued to check the VRBO site for the listing, hoping to take advantage of it sometime. There was one year I couldn't find the listing and panic set in. Had the property been sold? Had the owners retired? The next year I found the listing again and I relaxed.We made our decision to go to Greece in November of 2024 and shortly after I made our booking for Casa Sophia for September of 2025. Our hosts, Sophia and Mogens, were very good about keeping in contact with us prior to our visit, answering questions that only hosts could answer. Some people might be concerned that the hosts at Casa Sophia live downstairs from the rental property itself. Not to worry; church mice would be louder than the hosts. Seriously. And when you do want to interact with them, they are right there to answer your questions and assist you in any way that they can.If there are times when you want to add a little action to your day, the coastal towns of Stoupa and Agios Nikolaos are less than a ten minute drive away. "

"Lovely house in a peaceful location, close to supermarket, beaches, dive school, boat hire and lots of places to eat nearby.House was very clean and well equipped, with some thoughtful first provisions. Responsive host with great communication. Would definitely stay again if returning to the area."

"All was perfect and there was a hidden gem swim area just down the hill. One thing to take note is you have to know which particular suite/villa you book as not all come with the ability to use the beautiful pool that is shown in pictures. I was not clear on that when I booked my reservation (could have been user error) however the extra swim area the owner pointed out more than made up for it. Gorgeous. You do have to drive through some pretty windy steep slopes to get to the area, however totally worth it. "

"Second time there. Lovely stone house with all mod cons. Three patio areas, all with chairs or loungers, giving full flexibility where ever the sun was. Two sun umbrellas. Nice small pool. 2 restaurants shop and bakery within 10-15 minutes walk (no vegetables or cold stuff). Met by owner at large nearby supermarket and taken to house. Downstairs toilet, washing machine, iron and board a bonus. Very minor points: WiFi transmitter away from property, so signal very good on patio, slow inside, shower typical European so had to be held with one hand (but improvisation possible with 2 plastic coat hangers). One of the best villas we have rented."
