"Mapakada Village is a beautiful hotel, tucked away from the regular tourist route - but it’s well worth heading here. It’s set against a stunning lake, where you can do various activities and wildlife spotting. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I’d especially recommend the superior double, which looks out to the lake and the pool. We actually stayed at Mapakada Village a little by accident, during a storm - and we were so looked after, especially by Dinesh. He went above and beyond to help get us back to Negombo in time for our flight, actually driving us several hours himself, which was incredibly kind. Staying here for a couple of nights was exactly what we needed. Thanks so much!"

"The biggest thing that strikes you is the lovely stunning environment and very villa as its gated with 24 hours security. We felt at home. The two caretakers are simply warm helpful and very professional. The neighbours were helpful . I had such a wonderful stay! 🌟 The space itself was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. I felt a warm welcome upon arrival, which instantly made me feel at home. The stunning surroundings were the perfect for a relaxing stay, and every detail was taken care of and clean lovely showers clean.The wall hangings decor amazing. "Surrounded by beautiful rice fields, wilderness and Peacocks this is an ideal place for who seeks a secure place for rest and respite. The hotel staff was amazingly nice and ready help. Those who travel from East like Trincomalee or Arugambay this would be an ideal rest stop. My meals by a la carte were delicious. Special thank to Food and Beverage Manager (sorry forgot the name) for his recommendations. "
