Sky High Chalet! Gorgeous home on 10+ acres with hot tub, 2 minutes to Wellsboro

Just over a mile from downtown Wellsboro and just a few more to PA Grand Canyon sits the Sky High Chalet in a private setting on top of a mountain with views for many miles in all directions! This 3 bed chalet sleeps 10 and features a hot tub, 800 sqft deck, is in excellent condition and has all amenities that you would want or need! Home also features Master Suite with King bed, walkin closet and full bath. Large family room with vaulted ceilings and open floor plan has access to deck for great entertaining. Full kitchen, with hightop bar area and stools for additional seating. Laundry available onsite. Den features 2 queen size sofa beds. Cozy up to the fireplace in the den, watch the sunset from the hot tub or fire ring & watch the wildlife stroll by. Easy drive to restaurants, nightlife and theaters along with all of Historic Wellsboro's famous events etc. No matter what you are into, Wellsboro offers it all - hiking, biking, kayaking, 60+ mile rail trail for riding bikes or cross country skiing, ski slopes, hunting/fishing, wine tasting and R&R. Beautiful location. Very quiet and private yet only minutes to town. Gorgeous sunsets from the deck area. Hot tub was a great have after spending the day hiking through the parks.

Perfect Getaway

Wonderful place to stay. Comfortable and stocked with everything you need for a fun and relaxing vacation. Enjoyed biking on the rail trail and hiking the many trails with waterfalls and scenic overlooks of the canyon.

Great stay

We enjoyed our time here! Clean and comfortable, beautiful views. Perfect location- close to town but very private/secluded. We loved the hot tub! Host was very responsive when we had a problem witht the internet/wifi and promptly got it fixed for us. Would love to stay here again.

Amazing View!

Everything was great. Amazing view. We had a lot of cloud cover when we were there. But I can only imagine the sky on a clear night. We did have a magnificent sunset on one of the clearer evenings.

Girlfriends Getaway

Our group of 6 women (70+) spent 3 nights at the Chalet and had a wonderful time. The view is just spectacular and the Chalet is clean and comfortable. The owners promptly addressed questions we had about the Chalet. We would definitely stay there again!

Recently returned from a wonderful stay at Sky High Chalet. Not sure what we can add that hasn't been said before. Gorgeous home. Beautiful surroundings. Epic views. Another Great Visit

Our group has been renting Sky High Chalet for 5 years and enjoy everything. Location close to Wellsboro to visit our favorite restaurants and shops. Communicating with the owner is always a pleasure. The owner has maintain and improved the property over the years. We will be back next year.

Great layout for our group. Indoor Stairs are steep. No handrail on stairs going to loft. Beautiful property. Deck is amazing with great views of sunset

The chalet has everything you will need along with plenty of room to spare. Our group has been coming here now for four years and never have been disappointed. You are close to Wellsboro with plenty of things to do. The scenery from the chalet is absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful place to unwind - and great hot tub

Took a few days with my wife to unwind after a hectic few months. The house was as advertised with amazing views, comfortable furniture and close to both wellsboro and some of the great local hiking. We had one issue which was quickly and professionally resolved. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely comeback.

Sibling Get-Away

Very well kept and laid out. Love having three bedroom - bathroom combinations. Had a great hike at the PA Grand Canyon. Driveway is a pulse-pounding, killer cardio way to conclude a run of several miles (completed two days in a row) -- and now I don't need an EKG. The Downtown Diner was worth the wait (20 minutes).

Another Fantastic Stay!

This is our second stay at the Sky High Chalet and it was just as wonderful as our first visit. The house was very clean, comfortable and stocked with everything that we needed. We prepared our meals in the spacious kitchen, sat on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view and sunsets. We cooked out on the grill and dined on the deck too! We enjoyed fires, in the fire pit, and appreciated how close we were to town yet we felt as if we were far away from everyone. Checking in and checking out were easy and seamless. The host was very responsive throughout the booking process and our stay. We booked the Sky High Chalet, again, for next year and are already looking forward to another week of family time and relaxation!

So much outdoor fun with family

We had nine people overall with plenty of room to spare. Everything we needed was there. Including extra bathrooms for teenage kids. A lot of gameplaying and a lot of privacy. I do highly recommend it. We already decided we're going to try and come back next year.

Peaceful and Spacious

Since the purpose of our stay was to attend the Little League World Series in Williamsport, we really weren’t at the house itself that much. The house and property were clean, spacious and private. We all enjoyed the large yard where we could play some catch and run off some energy before heading back to the ballgames for the day. We appreciated Christina being very prompt in replying to any questions had. The view surrounding the property is breathtakingly beautiful including the vast openness of the star-filled sky.

A perfect stay at the Chalet

We spent a wonderful 10 days at the Sky High Chalet. While some ‘glamour’ shots paint a rosier picture of the setting and condition of a property, that is not the case with the chalet. It is a beautiful, well-maintained home set on a pristine, 10 acre property. The panoramic views of surrounding mountains and various wildlife (a black bear family, many deer, wild turkeys, rabbits and birds) from the great room and deck are also part of the package! Christine was a great host who responded immediately to our communications prior to the trip, and was very attentive to all of our needs during the stay. We will definitely be back in the future!

Spectacular Experience

Such an amazing experience. My family (no children) had come to Wellsboro for the Dickens Day celebration. The owner had been very communicative in advance. We were quite literally breathtaken at first sight of the house. It is beautiful, beautifully situated, and was made more enchanting by the glow of a stunning Christmas tree lit in the main living room. Everything in the home was beautifully updated, full kitchen of stainless appliances, and appointed with tasteful, rustic touches throughout. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were spotless, and everything you could need or want in a vacation home was provided. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. We could not recommend the property more.

Mid week getaway

We arrived around 3:30 a half hour earlier than the 4:00 check-in. The setting is absolutely wonderful. You enter off the main road leading into Wellsboro and turn onto a maintained dirt/gravel lane that takes you uphill into the property. We had no problem with the instructions on how to access the front door. The stairs to the main living room, kitchen and first floor bedroom are a little steep and the stairs are not very wide. The home was clean and ready for our arrival. The kitchen which is a little dated is right at the top of the stairs and has plenty of room for meal preparations. The appliances were fairly new and all in working condition. There was comfortable seating for the six of us at the dinner table. The bedrooms were clean and the beds are very comfortable. Each bedroom has its own thermostatically controlled air conditioning unit in the room which worked very well but are a little noisy when running. The televisions worked very well but there should be an instruction sheet listing what streaming/cable services are available as well as operating instructions. The outside deck and scenery is amazing. Very quiet setting and nice property.
