"check in was fine. nice person at front desk. the experience went south from there, unfortunately. at 1030pm, we were asleep, until a man tried to gain entry to our room. (thankfully we had put the extra interior lock on.) person tried numerous times to get in. did not identify himself, nothing. turns out they had to switch something with the televisions, (switch to different tv service i think). now, why you would do this at 1030pm on a friday night? no idea. could have told us at check in that they were doing it shortly, but nope. when we spoke to this employee, he was rude, as if it was us inconveniencing him! "nobody is supposed to be in that room!" um, obviously we were. he told us he needed to do it then. i said no! absolutely not. he then insisted that they had to do it in the morning, i again said NO. we don't need it, do it another time. when i called the front desk, different person from checkin there, answered phone by saying, "hold" and put me on hold. nothing like, "good evening, this is front desk, may i please put you on a short hold?" nope. this happened all 3 times this weekend when i called the front desk. on that call, he came back on with "what do you want?". nice. i stopped by the front desk in the morning, "i absolutely do NOT want anyone in our room. NO setting up the tv, no new towels/sheets, don't need it." she said, absolutely, no problem. came back that night, bed made, stuff moved around. POOR. breakfast was decent. person at checkout was nice."

"The Hampton Inn is new so it is clean and also quiet. Only gf ave us 2 towels for 2 people and the note on the mirror stated they only service the rooms every other day. Had to reuse towels and we were not happy about that. Also in the room there is no dresser to put you clean clothes in, there is 2 drawers that are near the floor that can be used for dirty clothes. The 2 chairs in the room were very uncomfortable so we had to sit on the bed. For a premium hotel chain I was not impressed. This is something I would expect from a budget hotel. Not sure we would stay there again."

"The room was clean, but very outdated. Even though it is a smoke-free establishment, I think the smoke smell lingered in the carpet and the drapes. I did not use the pool, but it did look clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast area was clean and the food was very good. The breakfast hours gave time to sleep in. I booked with hotels.com. I paid for a king but ended up with a queen. I did get a reimbursement"
