I was contacted very late (17:45pm) via email that I didn’t have a room and that they rebooked me at a hotel 13 min away... we were already outside the hotel, so we had to take a taxi (additionally outside our budget) to the new place. We got booked at a place that was inconvenient for the purpose of our stay (location wise since we didn’t have a car), and the new hotel didn’t have record of our relocation. After 45min of multiple phone calls, they finally checked us in (telling us we were listed under a totally different name), and that we also owed them $244.60 additional. After another two phone calls, we finally settle the confusion only to be placed in a room that had a full size bed and terrible room condition. We are 2 grown adults that barely fit in the bed (which had lumpy springs and rolled whenever we turned (since the bed was on wheels). Also, the room had peeling walls, carpet was old/bubbling up (causing us to trip when walking)...the worst part is that the sink had a choice of scalding hot water or cold water (no warm water since there are 2 separate spouts). We could also hear every sound of the people next door. I’m not sure if this hotel had some rooms renovated, but we definitely got a dilapidated old room. The lobby was really nice though. Overall, we were sorely disappointed that we did not get any advanced notice and no explanation for all the trouble. We definitely felt we got placed somewhere that was below what we were guaranteed/paid for.
