"Lovely spot, only a minute walk from the station. Beatiful view of the snowy town, above a bakery and only 5mins from the shops. Room was lovely and roomey for two friends on a serendipitous 1 night adventure. Great heating and fancy tap which gives you hot water, mineral water, sparkling water and mild sparkling water! Also the check in was really cool and simple. Will definitely stay here again"

"Pros: Wir haben eine Woche im Sommer in diesem schönen Ferienhaus verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr hochwertig eingerichtet und bietet viel Komfort. Alle Möbel waren neu. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Die Küche ist Top ausgestattet. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich. Der Rennsteig bietet viele schöne Wanderungen. Bach Erfurt, Weimar und Eisenach sind es ca. 30 min. In Trusetal kann man alles an Lebensmitteln fussläufig einkaufen. Besonders gut ist der Bäcker, nur 50 m vom Haus entfernt."

"Pros: Schon bei der Ankunft verzaubert einen das liebevoll renovierte Äußere des Hauses. Beim Betreten wartet dann eine angenehme Überraschung nach der anderen auf die Gäste. Wir hatten einen sehr wunderbaren Aufenthalt in tollen Zimmern bei einer herzlichen Gastgeberin. Der Kamin funktioniert 1A und die Gastgeberin hat für alles gesorgt, einfach nur großartig! "Hotel Herzog Georg is a real gem hidden in rural Germany. The size of room is larger than a standard European room and we were very happy to have 2 large size doubles for my wife and 15 yr old son. Breakfast was massive European style and quality was superb. Lots of walking opportunities around town with site seeing and hiking just a short drive away. A couple notes, not much English spoken here, or in town at all. People were extremely gracious and we didnt have any issues, but just be aware. Also there are limited hours for the reception and if you think you will even be close to showing up after 7pm local time, reach out and coordinate how to get room access. We did not do this (our fault) and struggled to get ahold of the reception after hours with our US phones. Overall I would def stay here again if I was coming to the area."
