Tucked away beneath the trees at Starlight Ridge, The Stowaway is a one-of-a-kind tiny stay designed for slow mornings, starry nights, and a little bit of magic.

Originally crafted from a transformed box truck, this cozy retreat blends boho charm, vintage touches, and whimsical details into an unforgettable getaway experience. From twinkling lights and warm textures to the screened- in porch and private hot tub, every corner was created to feel like a hidden escape from the ordinary.

The space
The Stowaway is a cozy, adults-only tiny stay tucked beneath the trees at Starlight Ridge near Lake Wedowee. This unique retreat features a thoughtfully designed sleeping space, private bathroom, kitchenette essentials/BBQ utensils, and a screened-in porch with a hot tub for relaxing nights beneath the lights.

Outdoors, guests can enjoy peaceful wooded surroundings, a propane fire pit area (propane provided), and easy access to nearby lake activities, hiking, and scenic mountain adventures.

Every space was intentionally designed to feel warm, magical, and unforgettable.

We are located less than a minute from Lake Wedowee, a short drive from Cheaha Mountain, Talladega National Forest, and Talladega Superspeedway — while still being conveniently located just 1.5 hours from Atlanta, GA.

Guest access
Guests will have private access to the entire Stowaway tiny stay, including the screened-in porch, hot tub, outdoor seating areas, and fire pit space. The driveway is shared with another nearby cabin on the property, but your stay area is designed to feel peaceful, private, and tucked beneath the trees.

Other things to note
The Stowaway is designed to be a peaceful, adults-only escape focused on relaxation, connection, and slowing down. Because the property is located in a wooded area near the lake, guests may occasionally encounter wildlife, changing weather conditions, and increased lake traffic during peak tourist season. The driveway is shared with another nearby cabin on the property.

One of the most magical parts of the experience happens after sunset. The property truly comes to life at night with glowing lights, cozy ambiance, and peaceful evenings beneath the trees.
