Charming 2-bedroom house in wonderful Crawford with petting zoo.
10/10 Excellent
"My husband, adult son, and I really enjoyed our stay. We were there to visit a younger son at UGA, about 25 minutes away. PROS: Lewis, the host, was easy to reach, friendly, and responded quickly to all communications. Check-in was easy with a code for a keypad. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The couches were great for relaxing; the beds were reasonably comfortable. AC and heat worked well, and ceiling fans in the living room were a nice touch. Showers had good water pressure. The host thoughtfully provided all bed and bath linens, as well as kitchen towels, paper products, and hand/dish soap. The kitchen had all appliances you would want, even an air fryer. Too bad we’re not coffee people because the coffee bar was truly impressive. We did not use the washer/dryer, but appreciated that it was available. While not fancy, the house is nicely decorated in an antique-farm way. Also, though it didn’t apply to us, there were outlet covers on the walls, which would be helpful if you stayed there with young children. The petting zoo was great- we so enjoyed visiting the animals.CONS: 1. The front porch has a small step-off just beyond the front door that can catch you off guard, particularly after dark. I only mention it for those who have mobility issues/are not steady on their feet. 2. The Internet connection is a bit slow- ok for most uses but would make serious work a bit difficult. Overall, we would definitely recommend."
"Quick and pleasant check in from helpful young lady who gave us all the information we needed. Location is not downtown But worked well for us. Immaculate hotel and good breakfast. Recommended"
"Shamiya was great at check, knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, personable. My original room assignment had a leak from the above unit. Shamiya called in maintenance, decided it was best to change rooms and upgraded me to a suite. Loved my original king room, and the suite was even nicer. Great retro decor! Recommend Abacus with the utmost confidence. "
