Waterfront Cabin with Hot Tub! Free Kayaks & Canoes, Fishing Boats, & Bicycles!
Small waterfront 1-bed private cabin with a view of an undeveloped state-owned island. It is about the size of an extended-stay hotel room. There is a double-sized bed and a pull-out sofa bed that will accommodate 2 children.
There is a small kitchen area and a bathroom with a shower. There is a Smart TV with both WIFI and cable.
Everything you'll need is included - linens, bedding, silverware, dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils, hand soap, paper towels, bathroom tissue, and hand towels.
There is a Circle K gas station with all the necessities that is open 24/7 just 2 1/2 miles away. There is a large Kroger grocery store about 5 miles from the cabin that is open until 10 pm.
Enjoy the free use of our kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, and fishing boats, to navigate between the beautiful islands across from your cabin. While the river is usually no higher than waist deep, life vests for both adults and children are provided and required by law.
There is a 12-mile-long hiking and biking trail that abuts our property and runs through the woods along the river. We have complimentary bikes of every size.
My husband and I purchased the 12 cabins that are "Riverwood Log Cabins" in 1998 and live midway through the property in the brown "A" frame should you need anything.
We even supply wood for your first campfire!
Well-behaved pets are always welcome at no extra charge but, must be on a leash when outside when other pets are present. Smoking is permitted outside.
Thanks

We had a great stay with our pups at this pet friendly cabin. The host and staff were all so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Loved using the kayaks available and there is access to a hiking trail right behind the cabins. Would love to come back again.
This is such a fun spot for families, Parker and Cathy are very kind and welcoming. There is endless fun things to do on site and the cabins are all so unique and fun. The view is fabulous and relaxing, and the fishing was awesome! We will definitely be staying again.
Great owners. The friendliest man you will ever meet. The property is amazing. A great view of the river. Kayaks and canoes. You could not ask for a better more family friendly atmosphere. Will absolutely be back
A little difficult to find but nicely located for river and bike trail access. Cabins are dated but functional and we knew it would be a tight squeeze in the small cabin we booked. Hosts and managers were super friendly and on property so that is a big plus. If you are used to camping or roughing it a little then this property is perfect. Hosts did offer us a bigger cabin but we were already unpacked.
The owners and staff are terrific - very welcoming and caring. The cabin is cute and cozy. The river runs right in front of the cabin, with access to kayaks, etc. right there. Waterville is a very cute town with good eateries. I loved the Toledo Zoo which is nearby. Do be aware, however, if you are looking for an isolated cabin in the woods, this one is part of 12 cabins along the river, like a campground. It was quiet and everyone was great, but you will have neighbors. I loved my stay and will return.
Our stay was excellent! Parker met us at the front cabin. Showed us around, answered any questions and was there if we needed anything. The cabin was very clean and accommodating. Hot tub worked great. Happy all around!
I planned this with a friend and ended up going alone, but had a great time. The hosts were great, would do anything to make you comfortable; i even called Parker to come kill a bug a for me because i was scared , he came with no problem!
We had such an amazing time. The hosts are very accommodating, thoughtful and kind. The places are very cozy, views are spectacular and the hot tub was fantastic. We didn't go in the river, but if the weather was warmer we would have taken a canoe or kayak for a spin. We will be back for sure!!
I can not say enough good things about Parker & Cathy or their slice of heaven on the river. I am a single woman and I often travel alone. It is hard to find a place where I feel totally safe. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND for single moms with their kids, families or women wanting to travel alone.
Super friendly people all around, cant say enough good things about rental or the property surronding. Cathy and Parker were without a doubt the best hosts you could ask for. Thank you and will be returning !
The hosts were amazing! Our pup Ryder was right at home. Parker shared great stories and allowed us to see some of the highlights of the camp. We had a great fire and the hot tub was perfect! We will be back.
We enjoyed our weekend getaway by the river. Very peaceful sitting on the porch and watching the river and fell in love with kayaking on the Maumee! We miss it.
We first got there and the Hot Tub wasn't working but they were down and had fixed within 15 Minutes. Just needed. It was hot and clean. Great view of the river and nature preserve island. Lots of options for boating and bike riding.
We had good time there and will be back.
This privately owned cabin community is located in a hidden location on the banks of the Maumee River with beautiful views of the river and wildlife. The owners are very pleasant and accommodating with excellent communication skills. I can tell the owners enjoy decorating their cabins. Lazy Bear cabin is adorable! We enjoyed our pre-winter stay with the river partially frozen and the sun reflecting off it. Absolutely beautiful! We will be returning for a warm weather weekend. Thank you for your hospitality
Such a serene environment if you just want to relax in the hot tub, watch birds or fish jump. It also offers fun (and free!) self-guided activities as advertised. The "cabin in the woods" was rustic, but had the necessities (loved the free coffee and purified water!). The bed was like a fluffy cloud. The hosts, Parker and Cathy, were wonderful. Parker is a hoot and so friendly. The other patrons were chill too. We're coming back (all the way from California). Thanks for making our son's wedding weekend that much more special.
This is a beautiful and hidden asset, a lovely wooded ledge upslope from the Maumee River. Riverwood is at the base of low bluffs overlooking the river and consists of about a dozen cabins and smaller houses, almost all for short-stay rental. The host is a hilarious, friendly guide who through jokes, photo-taking and storytelling imparts a sense of the easygoing, vacationing atmosphere that's well supported at this hidden old-time fishing camp. The place is quiet, and located below a metroparks canal towpath trail. While quite close to the Toledo metropolitan area, it's rural and evokes a time maybe a century ago. The cabin where we stayed had mementos, signs and other features of an encampment for relaxation and restoration.
