"The outside of the building and the room looked dated but it was also part of the charm as it’s right on Route 66 don’t miss this hidden gem of a property! The grounds and the rooms were very well maintained, clean and comfortable.
The owners were so sweet, a husband and wife. Their son was there with his kids and they were the most precious kids I have met traveling. We chatted some and they made me feel like I was staying with friends not a hotel.
Parking is right at the door of your room which as a woman traveling alone was nice, I never felt unsafe at all at the property, it was quiet, comfortable, clean and safe which is what I look for. Plenty of dining options close by, some even in walking distance Braum’s is literally next door.
It was a delightful stay and I’ll stay again the next time I’m heading back to Texas. This place really is a hidden gem that shouldn’t be missed. The small details the owners display really show like turning the air conditioner on so my room was cool upon checking in, the details to cleanliness and the way they make you feel like family not just someone passing through. You can’t find that in any corporate chain. Don’t miss this one and stay, it’s worth it"
"Let me start with the positives. Bed and couch were both comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep. Quick and easy check in, friendly staff, very accommodating. Breakfast area was very clean and the staff member there was beyond kind and helpful, she was lovely. Then, the morning desk staff member, Kendra, was more than understanding and willing to listen to my disappointment with the disabled room. The shower was tiled in such a manner that water literally flooded the bathroom and bedroom., a huge slipping hazard for a person already dealing with mobility issues! Add to that a rolling chair for seating at a table where its placement has no access to desk lighting. Overall poor design of the room. But let me end this review to address the most important asset to this Hampton Inn, Kendra. And thank her once again for her hospitality."
