Flamingo Inn
4/10 Poor
"The hotel is away from the interstate in the town. The surface all over the room was extremely dirty and the paper towels turns black after cleaning. The towels were extremely dirty too like they were used to clean the floor. Stay at you own risk and DO BRING your own bet sheets. "
"The hotel had a locked and completely empty office. Doors to rooms were open, no cars in the parking lot. We took a photo of the property to prove it was a mess, and a woman came out of no where screaming about us taking pictures and took a photo of our license plate. We left immediately
Hotels.com was AWESOME at handling this for us, and we were refunded and compensated."
"We have been on a road trip vacation for 20 days. 20 hotels in 20 cities. I wake up after our night here thinking it was in the top 2 or 3 of places we stayed. Good condition hotel, comfortable room, beds, abundance of towels, quiet, night staff friendly— the best—the tv remote even worked well!!! Then…. Went down for the 7 to 9 breakfast at 8:30– to almost nothing left!! Five warmers— could tell one was used for eggs, two for the biscuits and gravy, maybe meat or potatoes in the other two— couldn’t say— all gone!! Someone near us said just as well — he came at 8:00 and eggs were cold. So my choices were waffles or bagels— I don’t like either. Worker just chatted away about how at 7:30 there was everything and few people— but at least the guys on the road crew staying there got to eat!! (???). At check out told clerk they went from a great place— to very disappointing. She said we should have said something— I think standing there with an empty plate would have said it all!! They have a breakfast lady that was very aware there was no food!! At least ten more people came in after us!! Hope they like waffles and toast. At 20 hotels— first one that had no clue how to keep breakfast stocked. Want to give you a one star— but wanted to be fair. "
"This is the ONLY place to stay if you’re traveling to Elk City. It’s cozy, quiet, and reminds you of home. I love the bed and down comforter, the snacks and water are always stocked, the rooms are immaculately clean, smell good and I always sleep so well. I’d recommend this place over and over."
