Where do I start. I wanted to have a small gathering for a bday party and I messaged the host a couple of days prior to booking to ensure parties were ok. He assured me it was ok to have a party and I told him I would be booking for Saturday, September 5th 2025. Check in time is at 3pm. I was headed to the property and messaged him at 4pm to get the code to enter the property. He responded back immediately to let me know he forgot the property was being rented today and it was not clean from the previous guests. Keep in mind check in is at 3pm and I’m messaging him at 4pm. So now he wants me to wait 2-3 hours for the house to be cleaned and it’s already an hour past check in. The house was a total mess and reeked of smoke. Due to the inconvenience we negotiated a reduction of 85 off the price and he extended our check out time. I would have cancelled all together, however I already had a party scheduled with invited guests so I patiently waited for them to clean the house. On Sunday we straightened up the home before check out and the curtains fell. They fell because they were not properly attached-with a rod and/or nails- he used double sided tape and the stickiness wasn’t there. When I reached out to him about the refund he immediately complained about the curtains. He Was extremely rude and condescending. Demanded I pay him 100 for the curtains falling. He didn’t care about how I was inconvenienced. He just didn’t want to issue the refund and I will NEVER stay here
