About this property
Delightful Apt in the Heart of Dupont!
Summary:
Newly renovated and soundproofed one-bedroom/one-bath apartment located in the heart of Washington, D.C. Steps from the DuPont metro, walking distance to Georgetown as well as D.C. Monuments.
The Space:
Fully equipped and stocked kitchen including a nespresso machine. High-end finishings, comfortable, new bedding, and bathroom with walk-in shower. Sofa bed available in the living room. Tons of restaurants within walking distance and the best farmers market in the city open at DuPont each Sunday.
Guest Access:
Please note the entrance is accessed through the well lit alley at the rear of the property, full access instructions will be given after booking. The apartment is not shared with anyone else. Due to DC regulations, however, some owners must live in the building in order to qualify as a short term rental host. As with many apartment buildings in DC, the upper floors have full time occupants, and there are neighbors to your right. Please note that the everyday sounds and noises of family life (footsteps, stairs, kids playing, etc.) can be heard in both directions. You will undoubtedly hear them (and they will hear you) as they go about their everyday life.
Please be mindful of the fact that noise can travel and this is city living, we like to take care of our neighbors!
The Neighborhood:
Great restaurants, walking distance to all of the Washington DC sites, Sunday Dupont Farmer`s Market at the end of the street, two pharmacies within walking distance, grocery store also within walking distance. Very centrally located.
Close to metro (red line). Great local bars, restaurants and night life!

Guests will have access to everything the vibrant Dupont Circle neighborhood offers. The hub of activity in Dupont Circle often makes it feel like DC’s true city center. This trendsetting neighborhood boasts more long-term residents than summer interns, lending it a lived-in quality that’s uncommon in a city of new arrivals. More restaurant choices than you would ever have time for and cute shops to browse and enjoy.
Getting Around:
We are a few hundred feet from the DuPont metro. The Airbnb is located right off Connecticut and Massachusetts Avenues. Public transportation is easy to access as is walking to various sites in the DC area.

My husband daughter and I really enjoyed staying at this apartment on a vacation to DC. The location was great and the apartment was charming and very clean.
We stayed in the apartment as a family of 4. It was clean and very conveniently located! The property owners/managers were very responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!
Traveled to WDC for work and needed a kitchen unit so opted for this basement apartment over a hotel. Wonderful location, very clean, well stocked with basic amenities. The bed was super comfortable, better than most hotels. Would return!
Comfortable, stylish property. Dupont Metro 1 block away. Excellent bakery, gelato, italian, Mediterranean, Japanese, mexican, breakfast, seafood and more within a few blocks. Thank you to the hosts for a memorable stay in DC.
Unit was well supplied for our use, except the microwave wasn't replaced after discovery of charred wire. Noise from unit above was corrected. Location is very good, close to Metro, Phillips Gallery, shopping area.
This basement apt is in a great location and was very quiet. The interior was comfortable and clean. They supply extra towels and sheets. I had trouble lighting the stove and they sent over a lighter that same day, so good communication. The kitchen has plenty of pots/pans/utensils but isn't stocked with any cooking supplies, so you'll need the basics, like cooking oil, condiments, etc. The shower had nice water pressure, heating worked well. Overall, very nice.
We found the hosts to be very responsive and kind. Unit was clean and stocked with basics. Location is pretty perfect, just a few blocks from the Dupont metro station. Lots of food options nearby. Cute decor. Simple kitchen with fridge, etc. It is relatively quite (no street noise), with the exception of occasional noise from upstairs guests or on trash day. Felt very safe, and this is generally a safe neighborhood. But the bedroom window is unprotected (no bars) and is facing the alley, that is maybe the one weakness. Otherwise all doors and windows are behind bars / locked areas. I would stay here again. Thanks!
Great location, nice apartment, would probably return
We stayed here between Xmas and New Year's Eve – 4 people. Overall, it was a great experience but with a few downsides. Pros: The location is fantastic, in a well-to-do neighbourhood with elegant houses, and bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Just one minute's walk to DuPont Circle Metro station, giving rapid access to the Smithsonian museums. For art lovers, the Philips Collection art gallery is just steps away. The apartment itself was stylish, well-designed and comfortable, and well equipped with cooking utensils and a supply of coffee pods for the espresso machine. The management team responded rapidly and efficiently to try to solve issues as they arose. Cons: (1) Although the location is really quiet, we had noise from the person living above (they returned on the last day). In the living room and bedroom, we could hear each footfall, both human and dog. Possibly a carpet would solve this problem. Bring a good set of wax earplugs if you are at all a light sleeper. (2) The main bed was very comfortable but the sofa bed was uncomfortable, as the mattress was not properly supported, and we ended up putting the mattress on the floor. (3) The apartment is accessed from the alley; the alley is clean, but at night we saw rats several times. Rats appear to be common in Washington DC and their presence did not bother us. (4) The outer security gate had a malfunctioning lock, but the owner was apparently in the process of fixing this.
Great location, tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, fully stocked with all of the amenities (including a diffiser hair dryer ladies and gents!). A little hard to find the first night but the host was incredibly responsive and helped provide a step by step guide to the entrance. Thanks for the comfortable stay!
We loved our stay here. The apartment is small but they made excellent use of the space and it lacked nothing that we needed. The location is great as it was very close to several restaurants and the metro. Would stay again.
This apartment was perfect for our 3-night DC stay. 5 minutes from the Dupont Circle Metro, 1 minute to the Phillips Collection. Lots of places to dine nearby. The apartment is cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen, including coffee, tea, spices, cooking oil (not that we did much cooking).
Returned to DC for a visit as I had lived in the city 45 years earlier. The accommodations and communications were top notch. Just a few minutes away from the Metro and area restaurants vibrant area highly recommend.
Property is immaculate and beautifully appointed! Bathroom was lovely. Both my husband and I had space to work remote during the day. Perfect location with walking distance to everything. The nespresso was a welcome surprise. We will be back! Thank you!!
The neighborhood was safe, there were plenty of restaurants to choose from around every corner, and getting Ubers was a breeze. The place is small, but it was perfect for our family of three. Finding the location was easy. We had the Uber driver drop us off on Q street in front of the house and we walked around the back ourselves - it avoided any confusion. We had a great time!

Cute place in great location
The condo is in a fabulous location. It’s really near restaurants in DuPont and the metro and practically across the street from the Philips. The place itself is cute. Because the place was run by a management company there was a cumbersome registration process and it wasn’t at all “personal”. One thing we didn’t realize is that it was accessed down an alley way. I was staying with another older female friend and we mostly stayed together but the one night I walked alone was a tiny but nerve wracking. The place was mostly quite comfortable right there cupboard to store clothes was a little rickety and had no drawers. The bathroom sink had no counter space to speak of so was a bit awkward. The shower was great though. Overall the location and tidiness of the space made it a good stay.
