Peaceful Pond Retreat offers a home away from home!

What I thought was ducks in the spring was apparently actually geese who brought their brood up to greet me when I arrived. Too cute!

Get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet while recharging getting back to nature!
If you need a place to stay while working in the northern neck, you have found it!
If you have sold your home and need a temporary home, you have found it!
Stay here instead of a hotel room!
Enjoy fishing off the Peaceful Pond Retreat private dock and fish for bass.
A T head has been added to the dock, so the deeper water can be accessed with a cast from your fishing poles.
Watch the wildlife.
Relax on the couch in the comfy living room.
Play the multitude of games that are available for your use.
Sleep in the spacious bedroom on the bed that is made for comfort.
Cook in the spacious kitchen with almost new appliances.
Relax in the bath with the hot water from the separate large water heater.

Cute little apartment
Was convenient to my job site and had all the necessary amenities. Arlene was a great, responsive host. 2 small issues- no ac/heat in bedroom, so it can get pretty hot in the summer Lots of moths and other flying bugs Other than that, great place to stay and well worth the price!

The strawberry festival in Kinsale was lovely, as were the cornfield and river sunsets. NN Burger in Tappahannock is a must-have, but avoid their movie theater! Not much going on in the area, you have to drive pretty far to get to things to do. Major problems with both units on the property (bathrooms/plumbing, available appliances, pests, etc) and we ended up with access to both to make up for the fact that neither was really ready. The pond was suffering from some sort of algae bloom and was not particularly pleasant. Owners were friendly, check in was no contact and there were spare keys. They did mail us a shirt we left behind.
