Stetson Hollow Cabin by Stetson Brook

Cozy log cabin, by a trout stream adjacent to the Green Mountain National forest. Maple hardwood floors, Persian rugs, fireplace and a wood stove. One large living/dining room/ granite countertop kitchen/ 2 open sleeping lofts each with queen size beds, plus additional queen-size pullout sleep sofa. Newly renovated bathroom/ shower/ washer/ dryer. Separate studio work space with high speed internet. The cabin is a short drive to both Mad River and Sugarbush Ski areas

The cabin is a quintessential log home with added ambiance of Persian carpets, a library stocked with novels and coffee table books, and a comfy place to curl up in front of a fire to read and relax. There is a trail on the property that leads up into the Green Mountain National Forest and the Breadloaf wilderness and past a waterfall. Swimming holes are along the route. Great for walking the dog, or a snowshoe in the winter.

Stetson Hollow is right off Route 100, so it is easily accessible even in the winter. Warren Falls is a mile and a half north of the cabin, and Moss Glen Falls is a couple of miles south. Warren Village is a quintessential Vermont enclave with shops, a charming country store and a Relais Chateaux hotel: The Pitcher Inn. The area has beautiful places for country walks and nearby is the 4-season resort Sugarbush as well as Mad River Glen Ski area. There are two great X-country ski areas in Warren: Ole's and Blueberry Lake. A manual in the cabin tells all there is to do in Warren and the surrounding area of the Mad River Valley.

Enjoyable stay, rustic cabin with all the comforts of home. Stetson brook felt wonderful on the few hot days, as did the nearby Mad River swimming holes. Glad I was able to experience the legendary Warren Independence Day parade, which included a Bernie Sanders sighting. Jill and John were great hosts, always available for questions.

Cozy beautiful cabin

We loved or stay in the Stetson Hollow cabin! We enjoyed building a cozy fire on a snowy night close to Sugarbush Mountain after a long day of traveling. The cabin was just as expected, clean and comfortable with an easy check in/out process. The host was lovely and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again in the future!

Perfect cabin!

We fully enjoyed our stay. Location couldn’t get better. The cabin is 10 min to sugarbush resort and walking trails right on the property. The cabin itself had everything we needed, bed was comfortable and the fireplace was a great bonus! Definitely will be staying here again!

Rustic Relaxation

Very beautiful setting, nice rustic cabin. Was clean but a little spider webby. The sleeping loft beds were pretty comfortable and the hosts left a welcome basket with some treats. Wish we had a little more time to be here and enjoy the beautiful river across the way.

Beautiful location

It was our first time in Vermont and Jill and John’s cabin was the perfect place to unwind and take in the beauty of fall on the east coast. The trail behind their house is absolutely beautiful and was our favorite part of the stay along with the river right in front of the cabin. The location was perfect! We will definitely be coming back!

Great little cabin!

Stayed here with my girlfriend, we had a great 4 days. Jill and John were the best hosts and their cabin is exactly what we pictured when we planned our Vermont trip. 20+ “ of snow fell and we had a short power outage but that didn’t stop any of our adventures. We loved it there and highly recommend a stay at this perfect cabin! We can’t wait to come back again!

Cabin in the Woods

Stetson Hollow Cabin is a true cabin with character and comfort. This is our second time at this gem. It’s easily accessible to all things in the Mad River Valley, yet secluded. The host, Jill, is warm and welcoming. Always available within minutes - even when she’s traveling. Great place! Highly recommend for a needed get away for anyone.

So cozy!

My family enjoyed our time in this adorable, well cared for cottage. We wish we’d stayed longer than just a weekend! Great location, close to Sugarbush. A bit of road noise though it didn’t bother us much. Need to be agile to use the ladders to get in to the sleeping lofts. Owner was super kind and responsive. Hope to return next year!

Thi was THE perfect spot for our event - a chance make bridal bouquets, walk to a waterfall, and just relax by the fireplace! Thanks so much to Jill for the early check-in for our one-night stay! That made a big difference!

Wonderful stay!

We came up for a wedding at sugarbush and couldn’t have been happier with our accommodations. We have 2 large dogs we travel with and this beautiful cabin was perfect for us. There was access to national forest by walking up the driveway and it was jut a couple miles from Warren falls and the ski resort. Everything we could’ve wanted and more was in the cabin. We had a fantastic time.

Very Rustic Cabin with A+ Hosts

We stayed over July 4th vacation. Me, wife, 5 YO child and 10 YO Fur baby. First things first - the loft sleeping areas are ONLY accessible by ladder like steps. There's a pull out couch on the first floor, but owner should make that piece of information available in the description. Beautiful location - couldn't ask for more. Short drive to Sugrabush or Mad River ski resorts. Warren and Waitesfield are close and quaint. Excellent accessibility to waterfalls and river trails. The best feature was the trail into Natl Forest w/multiple swimming holes right behind the property. It rained a little and the sound of the rain plus the sound of the brook was peaceful at night, broken occasionally by trucks or motorcycles (Cabin is right next to Hwy 100) Cabin is stocked with Vermont local soaps and whatnot, including dishsoap and drying rack (there's no dishwasher). The cabin has A+ super fast wifi, which is good cause there's no TV. Bring a computer or tablet if you want screens you can share. I'd recommend owner put in a cheap, wholly wireless, stream-only, TV for guest convenience. Owner Jill could not have been more supportive and informative, even though it was also her July 4th holiday. And,as mentioned, place is very Dog Friendly. Only complaint is guests should not be asked to pitch in upon departure. Since there's no modern conveniences in the cabin, owner should provide basic services of trash and linen removal.

Charming and impeccable!

This little cabin nails it. Charming log-cabin decor with two comfortable beds in lofts. You can look out the skylights to the trees (and the stars) while lying in bed. The kitchen has everything you need - perhaps not ideal for cooking huge meals but great for breakfast and other basic meals. The fireplace and wood stove are huge bonuses, and Jill and John keep it stocked with everything you need to build a fire. There's no television, which we saw as a huge bonus, and there is good wi-fi. It's a quick and easy 10-minute drive to the Sugarbush main base area. Jill is the consummate host with clear communication and great recommendations. We will absolutely be back!

Perfect mountain cabin!

Such a great cozy mountain cabin with a beautiful stone fireplace well stocked with plenty of dry wood and kindling- all that’s needed for the perfect après-ski setting. Add a glass of wine to the host-provided Vermont cheese and crackers and you’re set for the evening. Initially concerned that the cabin was right on Rte 100 but very quiet and peaceful. Never heard any road noise. The two loft bedrooms are comfortable and functional accessed by ladder. Not a place for those with mobility issues.Host was attentive and check-in/check out a breeze. Five stars in my book! Thanks Jill and John.
