You’ll be staying in a modern, 72-square-meter holiday apartment on the upper floor of a single-family home built in 2016. (A cosy wooden house with a pleasant living environment.)
The town centre is about a 900-meter walk away, where you’ll find shopping options such as Rewe, Norma, a pharmacy, a flower shop, Jo’s Pet Supply, a bike shop, and a petrol station. In Bornhöved, 5 km away, there are also Aldi, Lidl, and an Edeka. The surrounding area features several swimming lakes perfect for relaxation.(Stolpersee with a swimming area and kiosk, Schierensee, Schmalensee, Bornhöveder See with a swimming area, Belauer See, and several others.
In Stolpe, the neighbouring town (1.9 km away), there is a fully fenced-in dog park where our four-legged friends can run and play.
Another fenced-in and larger dog park is located in Trappenkamp, 9.6 km away, right behind the Daldorf Adventure Forest Recreation Park. This park is one of Schleswig-Holstein’s most popular destinations and offers endless adventure for the little ones—there’s no chance of getting bored here. With a large playground, pony rides, a wild boar safari, a Western fort, and more.

In Bad Segeberg, 29 km away, Winnetou and his gang are up to their old tricks during the Karl May Festival, featuring Alexander Klaws as Winnetou.
27 km to the north lies the state capital, Kiel. A port city on the Baltic Sea coast featuring the medieval St. Nicholas Church in the Old Town. Numerous shops invite you to browse, and cruise ships dock at the Ostseekai.
Every year during the last week of June, Kiel hosts the world’s largest sailing event and summer festival, packed with athletic and cultural highlights.
Popular destinations include the Naval Memorial and the U 995 Technical Museum in Laboe; the Kunsthalle zu Kiel; the Schwentine River for canoeing; Kiel City Hall; the Zoological Museum; the Old Botanical Garden; the Open-Air Museum in Molfsee; and the Maritime Museum with its fish market.
And, of course, the many Baltic Sea beaches around the Kiel Fjord.
The independent city of Neumünster lies 18 km west of Kiel, in the centre of Schleswig-Holstein. It is home to a beautiful zoo. However, if you’d like to go shopping, the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet—with 120 stores—is the perfect place for you. Or visit the Holsten Galerie in the city centre.
Every June, the Hölstenköste takes place here. It’s a four-day summer festival featuring culinary and cultural highlights.
