Modern Kowhai Cottage
The Space:
The property's rustic charm is complemented by modern furnishings. The living area includes an open plan kitchen/lounge space with a fantastic wood burner, supplied with firewood. This newly designed cottage is located near Eely Point and Bremner Bay, surrounded by a private garden with well-established Kowhai trees. It's only a short drive or an easy walk to the town centre and lakefront, making it an ideal family holiday home.
Recently constructed, the modern furnishings complement the cottage's rustic charm. The living area has an open plan kitchen/lounge space, complete with a great wood burner, and firewood supplied. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide range of cooking utensils and tableware.
The heat pump will keep the house lovely and warm, while the fire is perfect for those cold winter nights. During the summer, the outdoor dining area provides a sheltered retreat.
Note: The driveway isn’t suitable for boats.
All beds and bedding are new and of excellent quality. The second bedroom has two very comfortable long single beds that can conveniently join together to make a king-sized bed. The bunk room is well-designed and perfect for children.

This is self-catering accommodation however for your convenience, we will get you started with a few rolls of toilet paper, hand soap, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent along with a couple of tea towels, dishcloth, 2 bin liners and laundry liquid. We use only eco-friendly cleaning products. Sheets and towels are provided. We recommend you bring your own beach towels.
Interaction with Guests:
Wanaka Holiday Homes office hours are Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm and Saturday: 9am to 2pm. We are available after hours for urgent matters. You will be provided with arrival instructions one week prior to arrival. This is self catering holiday home accommodation. We provide sheets and towels but you will need to bring you own personal supplies.

A lovely place for our 1 week getaway for some skiing in Wanaka and Queenstown with our adult children. Cozy, with lovely outside spaces, although with the winter weather we didnt get to take advantage of the bifold doors to the outside decks. Clean and well stocked with the basics, every thing we needed. Thanks for a great stay
Very happy with our stay in September, this new Lockwood house is stylish, has everything you need and is very warm and cosy. With all day sun we hardly needed the fire or heat pump. It was lovely and quiet and there is even a peep of the mountains from two bedrooms and a bit of a view of a large hill from the deck. The master bed was slightly soft for us (but that is just our personal preference!) Would highly recommend this place to others and we would definately book again.
Lovely clean and modern house. Heat pump kept the place nice and warm during our winter stay. The only minor difficulty is the driveway which is narrow and sometimes it was abit difficult to pull out onto the road. Highly recommend this place to other visitors.
Close to mountain bike tracks and close to the lake
Wanaka has some excellent mountain biking and this location is great to access the tracks right out the door. Also walking distance to the lake. Nice peek-a-boo view of the mountains from the deck. Don't be put off by what looks like a neighboring house right beside the deck. It's a small Bach on the same property that seems to be no longer used. It wasn't used when we were there but maybe check with property mgr. The property was very private with high fences and greenery between neighbors. Well thought out layout and great kitchen. We stayed in summer but seems like it would be really cozy in winter. Great decks. All round a great space.
