We visit Walpole every year for the peaceful surroundings. Kids love to fish on the inlet and river and we do lots of walks among the giant trees in Walpole. We have gone to Walpole for the past twelve years and intend to continue our family traditi.

Tree top walk is amazing, and countryside is magnificent. The only downfall was that there werent to many shops open at this time of year. ( august)

Its a lovely area, nice people, and has a lot of good things to see nearby. Be really careful on the roads to get there though as they are quite narrow and the other drivers can be scary about not staying on their side of the road.

The forests are spectacular at any time of the year. The area is still relatively quiet as tourist attractions go.

Almost everything closes by 5.30 p.m. so get anything you need early. The top deck café next to the IGA was actually pretty good, even for the more expensive items (we had grilled fish of the day, which was shark and was delicious).
