"Lots of personal care by owner and this made the stay enjoyable and memorable. I had a free upgrade to the deluxe room too! Excellent amenities for the venue and room was warm - catered for by a good heater. I rate this place highly, if you want a bit of time out of town for a nature retreat and quiet space. "We had a very nice 3-day stay in one of the cottages. It was very quite, and the beds were very comfortable with an electrical blanket. The cottage was quite well equipped and there was heating. We had a great trip to Doubtful Sound, which the lady at the reception helped us to book. Unfortunately, the weather was quite wet, and the cottage was a bit damp. We asked for an extra change of towels as they did not dry well in the cottage. We went to Te Anau for dinner as the local pub mostly seems...

"Our family of four had a fantastic stay at Welcome Home Cottage. It is in a nice and quiet location and the house is great. Very cosy (can imagine it is great in winter!) with everything, and more, that you need. A short walk to the lake and the shopping area (café, restaurant/bar, takeways, a very interesting second hand shop, and the wee bookshop.We picked up groceries in Te Anau on the way. "Really lovely property. Super clean, really comfortable bedding. Single bathroom with a bath, no issue with hot water. Loads of room, perfect for a family. Charming little backyard porch, very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen has everything you would need with a little walk in pantry."
