"This was an awesome little property, in a lovely spot with a great view. We stayed for three nights but would have been happy to stay here longer if we had the time. The location on the coastal walkway was an added bonus too, we walked to the city and back- not a short walk but doable on a mild autumn day. Te Moana was very well equipped and very comfy- with everything you could possibly need. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area and be happy to also recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you for a great stay."

"We always felt that Mokino had a charm and a warm friendly family feel about it, comfortable, and a very Kiwi atmosphere about it. But you can’t always rely on nature to provide a clear evening to view Mt Taranaki or perfect weather to stay on the beach for hours but that is part of the pleasure of staying at Mokino. We will always want to return."

"It's an old shop so it's a bit worn, but it has more than everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good fireplace and lots of firewood, books, magazines, games. Breakfast provisions laid on which was unexpected but very convenient. Good shower. Less than a 1 minute walk to the pub for meals."
