It was quiet and a beautiful spot. The fire was awesome on a cold night. Our kids loved the upstairs bed! The cottage was modern and contemporary. Thanks heaps

The property itself is pretty nice, but it definitely a long way off the beaten track. Having looked for a facility in Hamilton, this is certainly not it! If you're looking for a romantic farm stay getaway this would be lovely, but if you're looking for something in town for an overnight break, this is probably not it. No one was there to meet us as advised, and we nearly got in the car and drove off, luckily someone did come eventually and we got booked in, l;ate be at least we had a nice bed to sleep in

Perfect Cottage Escape
The Waterlily Gardens is a beautiful place to stay. Such a great spot to get away from it all and the amazing cottage has everything you could want. The log fire was great too!

We are warm blooded creatures, give us HEAT!
The Waterlily Gardens was a nice please to stay but for a few issues. The unit had a small wood stove where the guest is expected to get a fire going. I spent 45 minutes getting the fire going but the heat could only be felt when standing next to it. As we are uncomfortable with leaving something burning while we sleep so we let the fire burn down before going to bed. There was portable oil-filled radiator heater that wasn’t functioning properly as you had to be right up against it to feel any heat. As the room was still very cold, we went to bed fully dressed with our coats on. There were a few other issues: no hair dryer (expected), no remote for the TV (either find the remote or get rid of the TV), CD player (who carries CDs with them on vacation? Get Bluetooth speaker).
