The best area to stay in Vysočany is the village centre, particularly around the main square, for its convenient access to local amenities and the surrounding natural beauty.

The village centre is the heart of Vysočany, characterised by its traditional architecture and a relaxed pace of life. Here, you'll find the local shops, a few eateries, and the church, all within easy walking distance. The main square often serves as a focal point for village activities.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will appreciate staying in the village centre. It offers a chance to experience authentic village life, with opportunities for gentle strolls through the countryside or enjoying a quiet evening at a local pub. It's also a good base for exploring the nearby Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area.

For those who enjoy outdoor activities, staying closer to the edge of the village, near the walking and cycling trails, would be ideal. This allows for direct access to the scenic paths leading into the Moravian Karst, including routes towards the Punkva Caves and Macocha Gorge.

The best time to visit Vysočany is during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October) when the weather is pleasant and the rural landscape is at its most appealing.

During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside and enjoying outdoor activities without the intensity of summer heat or the chill of winter. The spring brings blossoming flora, while autumn offers beautiful foliage, creating a picturesque setting for walks and cycling. This period is particularly good for couples seeking a tranquil and scenic getaway.

Families travelling with children will also find these times suitable. The milder weather makes outdoor excursions more enjoyable for all ages, whether it's a leisurely stroll through a local village or a visit to a nearby historical site.
