"We arrived very early but Leah allowed us to check in immediately and she opened the dining area in case we were hungry. She spent a long time on her phone arranging transportation for us for very early the next morning. The building is old, but the rooms were more than adequate and the beds were comfortable. The outdoor veranda was a perfect spot to enjoy wine and cheese from a nearby grocery store."

"La struttura è apparsa scadente al primo impatto. Appena aperta il portone di ingresso abbiamo avvertito un forte odore dovuto all'umidità. Nell'appartamento mancava la luce nel bagno e la doccia era priva di una porta. iil WiFi non funzionava tanto meno la tv collegata al WiFi stesso. Le 2 camere erano prive di armadio e solo nella camera principale c'era una cassettiera già piena di biancheria mal tenuta. "The house is immaculate, incredibly clean and with excellent facilities (fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and more). It’s in a great location, at the end of a quiet dead end street and the beginning of a trail leading up to theLa Montagna; five to 10 minutes is all it takes on foot to be in town, with its wonderful restaurants and bars. DoubleTree by Hilton Trieste

8/10 Good

"Really good reception and welcome and luggage delivery . Quiet room . Decent bathroom . Breakfast was pretty average tho …. Well located for Trieste city …"

Hotel Città di Parenzo

8/10 Good

"Good location, but small room and old-ish bed. Bathroom minimal and lacking some amenities. Parking a bit difficult, but likely the same for all hotels in the area. Staff super friendly and good breakfast for Italian standards. Be aware that you have to lift luggage half a floor at a minimum because of layout of elevators."

Le Terrazze

8/10 Good

"Awesome location! It was really close to everything by foot and the bus/subway system is really efficient there, so it is easy to get around. If you get a room on one of the upper floors, having an elevator that goes right up to the top is a really useful thing to have (my previous location I stayed in Genoa did not). It has an awesome view from the top few floors and there is a full kitchen. There is also a washing machine (no dryer, but clothes dry very quick). All of the windows are also doors and they have a heavy metal blackout that you can pull up and down at night and morning to block out the sun so you have pitch black nights. The only downside is that mosquitoes got into my room because I had no AC and needed the windows/doors open all night just to get cold. Two big requests, please get a toaster or toaster oven for each room. It beats using a frying pan and olive oil to make bread into toast. Second request, please provide more than 1 toilet paper. I ran out on day 3 and needed to buy more. That was annoying. For staff, I only saw a staff person once and that was when I checked out. There really needs to be more staff on duty so someone can see if they will supply us with additional amenities... like toilet paper!"

Urban Hotel Design

10/10 Excellent

"The outside doesn’t look that impressive as you walk up but as soon as you enter it is clean and modern. The room is a little small but well laid out. Air conditioning is available if you want it. There is a club across the parking lot so music on our Friday night stay but quiet after. A beautiful breakfast included. Very much worth it. Easy walk to the cruise port. Would stay here again."
