"I came in December, which is their low season, so I was basically one of the very few people staying at the hotel. The receptionist was only around for the check-in. The cleaning staff only showed up once. The rest of the time, they expect you to call if you need help, which is not realistic for foreign travellers, especially if you are not fluent in French or Italian. The building is locked, so basic safety is not an issue. However, when the internet went out, I had no way to contact anyone...

"I have been in many places in Corsica but this was really the highlight of my trip. Very small lovely hotel with 5 rooms only in a very small village (10 people) on top of the mountains around 25 minutes from Corte. I arrived last minute (not planned) and the welcome by the landlord and his wife was top notch. I would say: you have not been to the real profound Corsica if you have not had this experience at Casa du Lucia. But this is my opinion of course ! It really depends what you are looking...

"We had a 2 room suite complete with full kitchen, plates, pots and pans, coffee pot, microwave and hot burners, view of the swimming pool and for a great price. Early check in after some minimal time spent finding us a 1st floor room, due to no elevator, but all in all very accommodating and friendly. We had to walk a few blocks to find an open restaurant but we were right up the hill from the train station. The tiny tourist train took us through the old Town and up to the citadel and a small but fine museum we really enjoyed. The tourist information Center was up by the museum also. The hotel pool wasn't opened yet for the season but green lawn and picnic tables were nice. Only a little student noise at night but I think it was spring break. Nice garden cat! Very helpful staff, they gave me cakevto eat while waiting for room and help with our luggage. Great bargain and very friendly staff."
