Asked staff why they charged for parking and she stated I don’t know the company just wants us to. Hhmm okay. Door knob to room was broken, and fridge at night was loud. Other than that it was an okay stay. Nearby stores were convenient

Very clean, very large and well appointed room. Very quiet with really comfortable bed. Shower and bath very clean. Breakfast was very good with many choices set out in a beautiful room. The hotel is in a historic building, with new addition for rooms, right across from Sutter's Fort State Historic Park in center Sacramento. Good place to walk with lots of shade trees. Nearby there are many options for eating. The state capitol with lovely gardens is very close. There is street parking nearby. We will return when we visit Sacramento relatives again.

If you’re counting on the adjacent Grill in the lobby - don’t. Not reliable at all. Very few choices and closes when no customer without notification. So if you depend on it for yourself or the family you may want to reconsider. But overall decent hotel.
