This place did not feel safe to stay in. I was here on business and only staying for a few days with my husband. Someone had tried to kick down the door to hotel room (we were on the bottom level). My husband called the front desk for assistance, they told him it was probably just housekeeping! The man paced outside of our hotel room for about an hour and then drove around the building looking at our hotel room for another. Was banging on the door and yelling things in the window. Would not stay here again. The property was clean, with easy parking, and the price is why I picked here. (Our room did smell like cigarettes when we first arrived and it is non-smoking). However, spend the extra money if coming to the area on business. Not worth the risk.

The room was clean but the amenities were a little outdated. The staff was very nice. My hat goes off to the guy who pics up the trash( ocassionally does rooms). He does an excellent job regarding the upkeep of the property

Our room at Red Roof was okay for the two of us and we made it manageable. I was a little disappointed that it didn’t look as up to date as the pictures and some things just looked dirty. For example, the bedsheets were horribly stained and the floor was filthy. We would get a shower and within 5 minutes of walking around, our feet were dirty. By the end of the trip I was wearing my shoes around because I was disgusted. When receiving towels occasionally you would find long black hairs as if they were not cleaned entirely. If it wasn’t just me and my significant other staying, we would have found a different place to stay. The staff were very nice and helpful.

The hotel was fairly affordable, space is clean and decent. Good point is that thus location has fast WiFi. However, the room I lived in has no refrigerator or microwave. Overall, a great stay for 4 days.

The room was very clean, the location was convenient, and the hotel was great for traveling with a dog. It is right by the highway and about 15 -20 minutes to the Boardwalk or First Landing State Park. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, especially Dominic at the front desk. The property itself is showing noticeable wear (ceiling, tub) and the standard room does not include a mini fridge. Overall, a solid budget-friendly, pet-friendly option with excellent staff, but a few issues with property upkeep.

Every time we come to stay at the Red Roof Inn on 196 Ballard Court in Virginia Beach Virginia we have an excellent relaxing time the area around the hotel is clean our room is always clean and the staff is wonderful!

The room was very clean along with the bathroom. Despite it being an older building, it is kept up and maintained. My only complaints were the towels having some hair on them and the dirty vents. For the price, it was well worth it.

Floor was filthy. So i wiped it down. Room was dusted but finger marks on micro fridge and i wiped down all surfaces too. Showerhead worked but needs replace. Caulking needed around tub, water damage, but no mold or smell. Quiet from traffic noise.
