Worth seeing are also the Ventoux, the rocky landscape Dentelles de Montmirail with its bizarrely shaped mountain ridges, the Luberon, the gorges of the Ardèche or Touloruenc. Stroll through Orange with its triumphal arch at the gates of the city and an amphitheater that every summer provides an appropriate setting for the opera festival Les Chorégies. The impressive ancient theater was built in the 1st century and can seat nearly 9,000 spectators. 29 km away, the village of Mornas impresses with its 11th century fortress.
