"Schiff am see was a nice, comfortable hotel in Murten. Like most hotels in Switzerland, getting there and around town is a bit of “up and down” walking. The front desk staff, Stephanie and Tina were most helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and the restaurant is available for evening meals. We had no issues with the room. We are comfortable walking stairs. Murten is an interesting town with an interesting history."

"Lorena was an excellent/efficient front desk staff when we checked in. Room was ready at 10:30 am which was very helpful after a long overnight bus trip from Paris . She helped us set up our complimentary Bern City tickets for transportation. The room was clean, breakfast well set up and excellent choices. Karen was also very nice. Well worth staying here."

"We booked 2 rooms both small for Europe standards. The one room smelled like sewage when you entered and we had to leave the window open all night. We arrived late and only had it for one night thankfully. The other room had no smell though. Location is good for restaurants, shopping, coffee, and tourism. The train station is very convenient for those traveling with out a car. Grocery store is close as well."

"There’s some kind of issue with the noise the doors make as they close. It sounds like they are closing right into your room. The air conditioning was on power save the whole time and it was warm in the room with no air circulation. It would have been nice if the window wasn’t locked shut. The robot pizza making machine didn’t work but wasn’t marked as broken. The rooftop bar was nice and bartender was very nice. Front desk staff were nice and helpful."
