Absolutely gorgeous room in a beautiful house. Lovely quiet village. Staff was very kind and breakfast was good. Easy lodging to bring your pet with. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel.

Lovely hotel. Not sure it warrants four stars, but very friendly and clean. One thing, the windows open outwards with the opening starting only 6 inches from the floor on the third floor with a nothing to stop someone falling out. I have a photo but cant upload. Sorry.

Lovely rural retreat

It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. Evening meals were standard but we both had cheese omelette and chips, which were delicious. Our two small dogs enjoyed the room as well. One small downside is that the GPS took us down some country lanes, some unmade, whereas there was a much more direct route. Not the fault of the owners though.

A convenient and cosy stopover

The hotel is very conveniently placed for an overnight en-route from the south to the ferry ports. We found it to be spacious, well heated (in the cold weather at the time) and very comfortable.Two points that might improve the experience for customers: 1 Better signage to make the hotel easier to find 2 Removal of the reference to a bar in the hotel's description(s) ... I found no bar as such, although there were tables and a cold cabinet containing various drinks that could be purchased.
