Nice views poor outside cleaningless and breakfast

I booked a standard room. It's supposed to look to the garden but it's literally to the car park. Awful view. I asked to upgrade which took some persuasion even though the hotel had 3 rooms occupied. Got a nice room in the end. Balconies and outside areas weren't not clean. Lots of weeds in most places. Terrace could be nice but wasn't particularly pleasant. Breakfast was very poor. Felt like back in COVID times we had to pre book. Half croissant I had. Must be tough times Recommend to stay in Casa das Estevas

This was our 2nd stay. Overall it's ok. We only booked again as we want to lay by the pool and there is an excellent restaurant in Foz do Cobrao which we wanted to eat there while in the area. Sunbathing turns out we have to lay behind a glass as the pool area it's own by the town hall. You can access it. But I presume you might have to pay to lay on their own sunbeds. I did ask Pool towels are €5 each and it's no refundable. I have travel all over the world and never had anything like this in a hotel. Breakfast like I previous time was awful. In fact only India had worst breakfasts than here. Very basic. Staff seems to have a bit of poor attitude.

Staff was very helpful and friendly! The pool is a community pool, but the hotel has a section of reserved chairs for hotel guests. eBikes were included in the reservation so we biked for ~30 minutes to go down by the river and make it easier to get back up to the hotel. Free, onsite, self parking is always nice!
