Wonderful Stay at L'Echappee Belle

We had such a lovely stay at L'Echappee Belle. The rooms are comfy, spacious and clean and the house and grounds are beautiful, with lots of fruit and veg growing throughout the grounds which our hostess Sophie uses for her excellent guest dinners and breakfasts. The swimming pool is wonderful and the house is located in a quiet area close to some lovely villages which are a 10-minute bike ride away. Would gladly come back here, thank you Sophie! (one tip: if guests are needing taxis during their stay, it's good to book in advance, as taxis aren't always available at the drop of a hat because it's a very rural area).

Un havre de paix

L'échappée belle porte magnifiquement son nom, ce lieu est d'un charme fou, aussi bien le jardin bucolique que l'intérieur, confortable et décoré avec soin. La piscine vient d'être aménagée, c'est un bonheur, les petites attentions - du bon thé et du café - sont mis à disposition, le petit déjeuner entre produits locaux et faits maison, est délicieux. L'accueil de Sophie est exceptionnel, elle a réussi à faire de cette maison d'hôte un lieu où il fait bon rester plusieurs jours dans un halo de verdure apaisante.

A very homely experience

Sophie was the perfect host. She made contact with us before our visit to give travel directions and to discuss our meal requirements. We received a friendly welcome on arrival and immediately felt at home. The house itself is very comfortable and very well maintained. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the bed very very comfortable. The bathroom had everything that was needed and the shower had really good pressure and temperature control. The evening meal was delicious and Sophie had taken into account our dietary needs. We had dinner with two other guests and Sophie offered ideas for visits the following day. The breakfast was also delicious with huge croissants, tasty brioche and fresh bread. Eggs, cheese and yogurt were also on offer if you wanted them. This is a place I would happily return to because Sophie made you feel at home and offered a very professional but friendly stay.

Notre séjour à l'Echappée belle a été parfait. La maison est magnifique, au bord du canal de halage, bercé par le bruit de l'eau dans un paysage qui donne la sensation que le temps se serait arrêté. Nous sommes arrivés en pleine canicule et notre chambre était restée très fraiche grâce à la pierre et à l'orientation au Nord. Propreté impeccable, meublé avec goût et super literie ! Notre hôte a été très accueillante, elle nous a fait goûter des figues de son jardin et nous avons mangé deux soirs à sa table d'hôte. Produits frais, bio et de régions ,de super vins et une très bonne ambiance. Nous avons hâte d'y retourner !

Excellente adresse, pleine de charme.

Merveilleuse étape, calme et ressourçante. Sophie est une hôtesse charmante, à la fois attentionnée et discrète, et qui plus est, la table d'hôte avec des propositions de produits régionaux est une bonne découverte, pas de "chichis", authentique et bon. Chambre spacieuse et bonne literie. Un coin salon /bureau idéal pour travailler. Une excellent connexion WiFi. La salle de bain est propre et fonctionnelle, et la demeure est pleine de charme. Une adresse à recommander, même le toutou "Flin" je crois, est gentil.

The property is distinctive inside and outside, charmingly quirky and yet with all necessary conveniences. It's in a lush part of the countryside, with charming trails for walking or cycling on the doorstep (bikes provided). The owner (Sophie) is a fascinating character as well as a good cook; do be sure to book your dinner in advance, she only buys in what she needs each day. She is a one-woman Loiret tourist office, with excellent English.

Sophie is an amazing host: she cooks very nice local recipes, the breakfast is complete with quality products. Homemade jam as well. The room I stayed in was big and very clean, it smelled very good and the bed was comfortable. I felt at home. Her dogs are so nice and well-educated. It was a real peaceful break in a calm and charming location. I'll be back!

A découvrir sans modération !!!

Dans la région pendant une nuit pour le travail, j’ai été ravi d’avoir choisi cette chambre d’hôte. On m’a accueilli chaleureusement dans une grande, vieille et belle maison. La chambre est spacieuse avec une énorme salle d’eau moderne et joli munis de produits sains (écologique). Le confort du lit était moelleux, j’y ai très bien dormi. L’hôte a été aux petits soins pour se renseigner et me trouver un restaurant (lundi soir compliqué) et pour un petit déjeuner complet avec une bonne boisson chaude accompagnée de produits locaux (confitures, miel, fruits, jus de fruit et même fromage), pains et yaourt. Elle propose un repas le soir mais faut lui préciser. Je le prendrai la prochaine fois car pour 20€ le menu était appétissant !!! Bref j’y retournerai pour le travail et même pour profiter un week-end de cet endroit reposant situé près d’un joli canal

Quelle belle découverte! En déplacement professionnel, j'ai choisi cette adresse un peu par hasard en fonction du lieu. C'était parfait: accueil au top, chambre tout confort, table d'hôtes excellente avec de bons produits, petits déjeuners copieux. Tout ça dans un cadre superbe, un petit hameau historique, au calme, au bord de l'eau. Bref, j'ai eu un vrai coup de cœur pour cette adresse! J'y reviendrai accompagné pour un plus long séjour afin de visiter les alentours dont la propriétaire m'a vanté les mérites et pour profiter des vélos qu'elle prête pour des promenades le long du canal d'Orléans.
