This is a very nice home, the location is great, next to the river, the yard is huge and makes for fun outside activities. If you get up early enough you will run into a few deer which made the mornings great. The home is well stocked with everything you need, clean and comfortable. The owners were very easy to work with and provided lots of details on things to see nearby, grocery stores, etc. Highly recommend this for a great weeklong vacation of a quick getaway.

Fishing Lodge
This was an amazing place for our family to stay. The river was perfect!
My adult son and I enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable cabin. We spent many hours sitting on the deck listening to the river and birds. The place was clean, well maintained, and charming.
Great communication from owner, very accommodating, and clear check in check out. Everything we needed and more was supplied. Kitchen was very well equipped. Loved sitting on the porches and floating the river. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place. Our family had a great time. We hope to come back next year.
This is a beautiful cabin with easy access to the Bitterroot River. The cabin is situated on a road where cars can go 65 miles an hour, so this is not the place if you are looking for extreme quietness. Luckily the cabin is tucked more towards the river than the road. All in all it's an amazing place to stay with great fishing opportunities, would only recommend maybe a better quality of mattress and pillows.
Stayed 5 nights with another couple while visiting family in Victor. Check in/out could not have been easier. Morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on deck overlooking river quickly became a fixture - even in the rain! Beautiful and relaxing. Comfortable and charming. Abundant wildlife. Pleasant and appropriate decor. Tremendous value. Will stay again!!
Such a beautiful location! We were looking at the river as we approached and missed the driveway. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed, even beach towels for a trip to the river. We had unusually hot weather on our trip, but a swim was great, and even without A/C, the evenings cooled down nicely and the fans made a big difference. The fishing decor was cute! Madison was quick to respond to questions and very easy to work with. If traveling back to Montana, I would stay again!

The Cabin is in a beautiful location. The appliances are older, but in working order. There is no A/C, but on the hotest day of 99 degrees it still remained comfortable inside. The beds are not firm and a piece of plywood is under the mattress in the master bedroom. The bed in the master is a Double not a Queen. There is no TV service - local or otherwise. You must use your laptop/tablet for streaming or bring a device with you to plug into the 20" flatscreen pictured on the site.
This is a great cabin and it was amazing staying right on the river! That being said...
This place is a mosquito haven!!
I assumed there would be some bugs but it doesn't seem like any measures are taken to keep the bug problems at a minimum. Bring plenty of bug spray!
We weren't able to use the loft due to a carpenter ant infestation.
Also if you are going in the summer months, be prepared for hot summer nights, There is no cooling options for this cabin other than opening the windows and praying for a breeze.
Highlights are the fact that you are very secluded and cant see any other homes from this cabin and although your not far from town, it feels like you are out in the wilderness, with a Beautiful yard and a river as the backdrop.
My kids loved playing on the river and we even cancelled other plans we had in order to spend more time on the river.
Side note: Bring some float tubes and watershoes! You will be glad you did
(we purchased some $10 tubes from the grocery store and they were great)you will be glad you did
Location is a 10 but the house needs work. It really wouldn't take much to make the house so much better. Maybe start with pulling the carpet out of the bathroom (gross). Beds need mattresses and fresh bedding. We were afraid to put the dishes away because the rack attached to the wall was about to fall off. Not sure what the "dust" was up in the loft but it was unusable space. The location is beautiful and the house really is cute just needs a little work. Communication with hosts was fantastic and the check in and out was a breeze. Overall we had a nice time.
Enjoyed our stay at the Fishing Cabin on the Bitterroot River. Cabin is located in a convenient location for fishing and hiking in the Bitterroot National Forest. The river was very peaceful and tranquil in the mornings. During our stay (mid-July) there were a number of people swimming and floating in the river which limited our ability to fish right at the property.
Did have problem with people trespassing. I wish it was a little more off the beaten path. Overall a good time the fishing was so so did catch a couple of nice trout. Thanks
Our stay in the Bitterroot Valley was a dream come true. This cabin was not only 100% in-line with the thorough and extremely informative property description, it exceeded our expectations!
A gem of a location right on Bitterroot river; isolated, calm and peaceful. The river and nature views did not disappoint and yet we were still just a few miles from several towns that provided endless dining and entertainment options.
The cabin was immaculately prepared for our arrival and allowed us to relax immediately. The majority of our stay was spent on the back deck. grilling on the BBQ and taking in the scenery.
The owners swiftly answered any questions we had via the vrbo messaging system. Further, a friend had left his smart watch behind by mistake and they were kind enough to locate it and toss it in the mail to ensure its safe return.
We had an amazing 3-night stay, fishing, hiking and breathing the fresh Montana air. The Bitterroot dug it's hooks in us deep and we will definitely be back. When we decide to do so, there will be zero doubt that we'll be booking this little slice of paradise again!
We wanted a place to relax and enjoy the outdoors and scenery. This property fit the bill to a T. There are also spots close by for nice dinners and shopping. We’d go back!!
Exceeded our expectations! Clean, neat and well maintained. Our hosts, Heidi & Madison were very pleasant, helpful and quick to respond to our questions/concerns. Everything was provided w/exception of groceries. Abundant wildlife, moose, deer, quail, eagles and osprey all viewed from the porch. On the Bitterroot for fishing, swimming, rafting... Location was perfect, short drive to Missoula, Hamilton, and Darby. Can't say anything negative. Hope we get the opportunity to visit again.

This property was absolutely amazing! Such a beautiful and quiet spot and was so enjoyable having morning coffee overlooking the river. The host communication was fantastic and responsive and the home itself was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Our family has already discussed making another trip to this place. Well worth it...you will not be disappointed.
